We always wondered how Jarron Collins got so much run. I always figured he had some compromising photos of Jerry Sloan in a lock box somewhere.

But, the mintues for Raja Bell are even more puzzling. He's bringing almost ZERO to the table. Not entirely zero, sure. He occasionally makes an uncontested 3. He tries hard on defense. But, that's it. Absolutely zero beyond that. He's sporting a 9.03 PER good for #292 in the league. Two hundred and ninety one players have a higher PER than Raja Bell. That's almost 10 player per team. And he's starting for us.

Why?

Some sort of mind control device? Love potion? Does he have Corbin's family locked in a dugout below his cabin out in the woods somewhere?

I don't get it. There is absolutely NO REASON that Raja Bell should be starting. Or touching the floor. He should be nothing more than a practice player and deep injury reserve.

Jarron Collins is to Naked Pics of sloan as Raja Bell is to "glaring example of how the Utah Jazz good trait of loyalty has become damaging to the franchise."

1. Loyalty to AK, even after he signed his max and could have been traded, financially crippled this franchise.

2. Loyalty to Sloan for so many years had major pros, but also a few cons.

3. Loyalty to Memo Okur, a fantastic human being, cannot be justified at a $20mm extension after an achilles injury.

4. Raja Bell.....he was brought back here and given the starter's job because he used to play for us and he is a veteran in the league and actual ABILITY has very little to do with it at this point.

Obviously, Bell is Corbin's long lost son...... Maybe, that's what the angry closed-door meeting was about.....

It seems to come down to Corbin's mentality that veterans are always better. How else can we explain the fact that CJ Miles still plays a lot of minutes when he's shooting 37% from the field and 31% this month.

+1 He doesnt trust the young players even when they are out playing the veterans.

What are the odds Bell's precautionary MRI wasn't for the Jazz so much as for potential trade partners?

Whatever gets Burks minutes is fine by me. You don't draft a guy to see him waste away on the damn bench!

I would think there would be a few team willing to trade a second round pick for Bell, and the Jazz are waiting for the deadline to find the best deal.

Clippers, Lakers, and Spurs seem like ideal partners.

I wouldn't give a 2nd for Bell. Would you? I think he's got negative value. Might be amnesty bait.

If I were a team that was trying to make a finals push I would trade a second rounder for him, absolutely.

Bell is a legit situational contributor in the NBA, what are the odds a guy drafted in the 50's will be, especially on a playoff team?

Miami, the LA's, Chicago, and San Antonio could all use a shooter/tough guy in the playoffs.
