Supposedly Houston has some of the best medical specialists for his daughter's disease...

Yeah. It is the only thing to smile about today for Jazz fans.
I am ticked that the Jazz supposedly could have gotten Wesley Mathews back. If Portland was demanding the GS be included then I understand why the Jazz didn't do it, but if it was a future 1st, then Jazz should have jumped on it. They could have shipped Raja to Clippers for a future second and been fine in terms of cap space.

why would LAC give us a pick to take on Raja's salary when they just picked up nick young?

Would have been a whole lot funnier a few years ago. It's only worth a chuckle or two now.

Re: Lakers trade Derek Fisher
After the Rockets buyout Fisher, I don't think the Lakers will be taking him back. So if he doesn't play does that mean that he can no longer be the Players rep in the NBPA?
Also, isn't there a rule now that the he can't resign with the Lakers?

I wonder what his problem was with Houston? I don't see any major contenders wanting to sign Fisher! I think that it is pretty obvious to everyone now that he is a fraud.
Fisher can sign with any team other than the Lakers.
Fisher doesn't plan to retire and hopes to sign with a contender.

Yes. But are they interested in him? I don't think so. Are they a better judge of talent than the Lakers?
What a punk! I wonder if Fisher tried to do the same thing with the Jazz FO, when the Jazz first acquired him, but the Jazz FO didn't cave in like the Rockets FO did. Similar to the Houston situation Fisher never made a public statement for several days when he was traded to the Jazz.
"Fisher has interest in joining Chicago or Heat where he would be able to compete for a title."

"After much discussion and expressing their desire to welcome Derek to their team this season as well as the 2012-13 season, the Houston Rockets and Derek have negotiated a buyout," Fisher's publicist Jamie Wior said in a statement. "Derek's desire to win a sixth championship is what drives him and will continue to drive him as he moves forward. We thank the Houston Rockets front office for their interest, time and their absolute professionalism."

I hear the Heat have a therapist that specializes in narcissism.

The good news is that there will be treatment centers (i.e., unemployment offfices) in most major cities, for his on-coming condtition. So he may be in good shape in that regard with whichever city he and his WIFE choose. (Capital letters added for emphasis)

Isn't Aaron Brooks planning on returning to the Rockets? They also already have Lowry, so he probably doesn't want to play 12-16 minutes off the bench after be a starter most of his career. Regardless of what Brooks does, it's a **** situation for him. They are definitely stuck in mediocrity and Fisher was not going to get playing time. I guess his best bet is Miami, but Chalmers and Cole are better players. Honestly there isn't much hope for his minutes, though he's probably a great locker room player and I'm sure he would be in every clutch opportunity possible for whatever team he goes to.

Aaron Brooks was traded to Phoenix. Regardless, he had a contractual obligation to play in Houston. It disgusts me when players breach their contract to dictate where they will play. The league should not tolerate this behavior. I wish somebody like the Raptors would pick him up off of waivers.

The only reason that Fisher got away with it is because he is the the NBPA President.
Aaron Brooks is obligated to return to Phoenix I believe. dwill#8's statements above were a little confusing so I put FISHER's name in where I thought he was referring to him and not Aaron Brooks.
