NBA in the next month or so will be discussing putting sponsors on Jerseys. Such as Pepsi etc. You see this in Nascar, Soccer teams, and now on the Courts themselves. I play alot of Poker and certain players have sponsors on their shirts in televised type events.

I think it is definitely coming to all sports. Anything to make a buck. You might even see team names changed for it. Instead of the Utah Jazz maybe we will be Energy Solutions Jazz or AT & T Jazz. I see no problem with it. You guys have any thoughts on it? I saw it discussed on the Lakers Forum and they had some funny examples on it.

I would hate to see team name change to that....it think i would throw up. As for sponsor on jerseys and courts, i dont care....ive been watching soccer my whole life and got used to seeing ads on jerseys, sometimes they even look nice.

If it happens, expect to see Nu Skin on the front of a Jazz jersey.

Team name changing? I couldn't see that. It doesn't exist in the NFL, NHL, or MLB, so I don't see us starting that. I don't wear jersey's anymore, so honestly I don't care THAT much about it happening, but it'd be nice if it didn't happen.

If the difference between winning a championship is a sponsor on the jersey, I am all for it. Even more dramatically, if that is what it takes to stay profitable and keep the Jazz in Utah, than double yes.

I'll say this: they should choose wisely if this happens. I'm a huge RSL fan but I have thus far refused to wear anything with the brand name of a company that sells scam juice through multi-level marketing.

I think it will be placed on the shoulders so whatever. It doesn't really affect anything. Hopefully the jersey patch isn't political lobbying like the both pro-sports facilities in the Salt Lake Valley.

I hope they don't force players to mention the sponsors during interviews like NASCAR does. The nuskin Jazz played a good game tonight.

Unless they can get sponsored by slim jim.

same here.. I will be really sad if the NBA/NFL stoop to this level...they do NOT need any more money!

Neither do I but I'll accept more money.

I view it as inevitable. Its never really bothered me in Soccer, but I will be a bit sad when it finally happens in the NBA.
