According to Brian T. Smith:
Raja Bell's agent, Herb Rudoy, said #UtahJazz are expected to make an announcement tonight about Bell's status.
Hopefully his dumb ass is off the team.

The only downside is that they're going to have to have to re-shoot a lot of "Jazz fans, this is your chance!" contest commercials.
Really hope this happens. For our sake, he's played poorly and been a negative distraction; for his sake, he's clearly not happy here.

Please explain why you are down on Raja. He is shooting 10% better than Miles from the field. The only guy on the team making 3's this year.
I know he played poorly last year but his offense is good this year. What am I missing?

Horrible attitude and doesn't understand his place. What could he possibly be mad about making 3 million dollars a year as a washed up scrub.

I don't even care about his production anymore cause we got a perfectly good young guard rotation that has taken over, I just care how he's being totally unprofessional and a knuckle head. If he was healthy, sitting on the bench and being a good teammate, I'd still want to keep him around, but right now he is only being a negative.

Why would the assumption be that he is being cut? Smith's blurb reads that the Jazz are making an announcement regarding Raja's status, not his future. It seems likely they will announce that he'll undergo season ending knee surgery, although Corbin's behavior when the subject of Raja's status does seem suspicious. Perhaps something is indeed afoot and Bell will soon be gone. For now at least, one can hope.

The rumor that he's been healthy for a few weeks and not even traveling with the team is the reason I assume it's a more significant announcement than changing his inactive to "day to day."

The Jazz offical site says he had a hyalgan injection.
http://www.livestrong.com/article/71767-side-effects-hyalgan-injections/Hyalgan is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of osteoarthritis in the knee joint. The medication, injected directly into the joint, contains a lubricating substance called hyaluronic acid. The substance helps lubricate the joint and absorb shock during weight-bearing activities. According to the American College of Rheumatology, the injection helps provide pain relief for six months to a year...
That doesn't bode well for him. I wonder if he is trying to come back in time for the playoffs.

My biggest problem with Bell is not so much Bell, but rather how Corbin uses him......
If he played him 10 minutes a game as a spot up shooter, no problem with that...... As it is, he's taking a lot of minutes away from Hayward and Burks, which is absurd...... Both have outplayed him this year......

Seems like one of the things Corbin's inherited from Sloan. They make guys like Ronnie Brewer, Giricek or Raja Bell big-rotation guys instead of creating a role for them that works.
