We can't expect Spurs to win Suns in the season ender, due to maybe spurs will don't need that win and they'll play without their big 3.

Huge injury may play big role in this game. Channing Fry injured his shoulder in the last game and he kills the Jazz. If he doesnt play or at least play like he usually does than the Jazz could run away with this game. Nash/Gortat pick and roll will still make Big AL look stupid on defense but one less 3 point shooter is huge.

Corbin make Nash beat you scoring the ball and get innovative and switch Hayward onto Nash playing him one on one with no help off the shooters.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Frye injury could be huge...... Should allow MIllsap to roam more and get some steals......

They just gotta defend the three point line better then they did last night. If they do then bring on the spurs or thunder baby :-)

Jameer destroyed Harris, I can't imagine what Nash will do. Gotta trap him everytime on the pick-n-roll and make sure Jefferson is defending their worst big whoever it is. Honestly we should win this game pretty easily.

Is Hill gonna play?

Please just play favors down the stretch, we can't afford to blow our pick-and-roll defense in this one.

I would feel so much better about this game if I knew that Favors and Kanter (I know..but he actually defends the pick and roll pretty well) were going to play big minutes and defend the Nash/Gortat pick and rolls. I'm not sure that's the case, though. I'd love to have Corbin surprise me and play the 3-big rotation and put Hayward on Nash every once in a while!

Nelson going off had nothing to do with Harris, it was entirely about Al Jefferson's inability to guard the pick and roll.

The times we went on runs against Orlando when Favors was brought in because he can defend the pick and roll 1000000x better than Jefferson can. We need to play Favors 20+ minutes against these guys if we want to beat them.

Remember a few years ago when we played the Spurs in the WCF and they just let D-Will go off while shutting everybody else down? That's what we need to do with Nash. Don't bother doubling or trapping him, just make sure everybody else is covered and force Nash to do all the scoring.

I totally agree. Make Nash score 40 points to beat us. Play belly up on the 3 point shooters and go under the screen on the pick and roll and see if old man Nash can win this game on his own shooting the ball. I seriously doubt he can!

so it sounds like Howard is going to be back. Will it mess up the mojo? Does that mean that we wont see paul play the 3, so fewer minutes for favors?

Agree. You can't let Nash go off, but you can't have everyone on the court focused on him.

One of the biggest flaws in the Jazz's defense -- at least to my amateur eyes -- is that every guy on the team insists on collapsing to the paint whenever there's dribble penetration. Even if the guy driving the lane has Derrick Favors and Al Jefferson between him and the rim, guys like Devin Harris will leave their man open at the three-point line to "help." I really hope this is a case of poor instincts and not coaching, because it's the kind of crap that kills the Jazz against teams like Phoenix.
