Raja Bell wants out

Raja Bell does not expect to return to Jazz next year.

Raja Bell said Tyrone Corbin was "unprofessional" at end of season. Corbin made things personal and it was obvious.

Raja Bell said if he's still on Jazz at start of next season "we'll cross that bridge" then.

Not surprising. Do Jazz even buy him out or let him sit? I doubt we could move him for anything with his contract...

Thats fine. I hope the Jazz make him sit. He isnt very good and a very selfish player.

I wouldn't amnesty or waive him, I'd just look to give him away in part of a package deal or for nothing like a 2024 2nd rounder or something....

Why?

He is an expiring. I highly doubt we need the roster spot. Let him sit or send him out for a 2nd.

Malcontent from Day 1. Think he's waaaaay better than he really is. He wants out... we want him out. Burks played so terrible last night yet it was about equivalent to whatever Raja Bell was putting out there in any game he played

All he has to do is agree to cancel the final year of his contract and I'm sure the team will send him on his way.

"C.J. Miles said there could've been better communication between Tyrone Corbin and him, as well as team."

I understand but really, what is coach to say? "Sorry CJ, you suck balls."

Though we were so bad these playoffs we may have even been able to use CJ. Maybe he'd hit on one of his rare big games at home and we could have won one. Everyone else was missing 3's.

If CJ was used situationally (like at home only) and had a short leash then maybe he could be effective. Problem is he thinks he's Rudy Gay and plays hero ball 24/7 while he's in. And anytime he's on the bench he pouts. It's too bad.

I'd amnesty him if it meant clearing up cap to get a guy like Dragic (not sure if that would put us far enough under the cap to surpass what we could offer with the MLE), but otherwise, I say we just put him on the inactive list for the season and make him sit it out. His conduct has been ridiculous since the day he got here.

I am sure he will be a thrown in a trade. He has value in a trade bc of the expiring contract. What disturbs me is that Corbin did make it personal and not play him in the playoffs when nothing else worked. I hope Corbin is not so thin skinned that he does the same with some of our other players. Basically, you play like crap but are a yes sir guy like Big Al then you play the entire game but you give Corbin a little lip then you are banished to the bench. That scares me a little for the Jazz future.

Wow, CJ whining now too. Never ceases to amaze me how some of these guys overestimate their value.

Bell confronts Corbin in lockeroom and then is audacious enough to say Corbin made it personal. Yeah, Corbin's the one who made it personal

I remember hearing KOC on kfan a while ago saying essentially that Utah doesn't "pay players to go away". It'll be interesting to see how he handles this.

I can't believe people are criticizing Bell and/or CJ being banished to the bench. Big Al actually produces regularly and doesn't rock the boat. It is ok to have some attitude if you have the game to back it up but when you don't you are just a pain....

Once again Corbin scares me as CJ says communication with Sloan was much better than communication with Corbin. Corbin is totally clueless. I think he will improve but it maybe another 2-3 years before he becomes an average coach.

Notice only the scrubs whom were benched were complaining about communication issues. Guess what? Your patron saint Sloan was the exact same. Remember Carlos Arroyo? Gordon Giricek? I think both of them would have something to say about Sloan's communication skills.

Good to see these guys calling him out on his communication, maybe he'll improve next year.

Bye Raja

Imagine that...a (nearly) rookie coach doesn't have as good of communication skills as his 20+ year predecessor. You think?!? Doesn't excuse these players not getting the job done and causing waves along the way.
