Why can't they get over the butt hurt and just play in Vegas?

I've heard its mostly about focus on basketball. Its hard to take guys to Vegas and keep them from the distractions. The summer league turns into a party for some of these guys/teams. I don't care as long as they get to play some decent teams--OKC, Indiana, Philly, etc.

It's a damn shame that the Revue is gone basically because of the Orlando Summer League and Vegas. Kind of lame anyway that the Orlando league is closed to the public. I liked the Summer League because it was affordable basketball.

I don't think that's true. These are guys who are going to have to learn how to do that. Black Jack and dance clubs are nothing compared the parade of skanks that don't look as skanky as they are hanging out in the hotel lobbies during the season. It does turn into a party for the coaches and scouts though. You might even meet one if you know the right casino. Share a drink.

Hmmm....is there a better reason than "butthurt" about the NBA Vegas Summer League stealing away enough teams to kill off the Rocky Mountain Revue? That doesn't strike me as a valid reason for the team doing what they do. I'm trying to find some of the old quotes from Jazz brass around when the RMR folded--since I remember it being a big topic on sports radio back then.
All I'm finding is this:
http://www.deseretnews.com/article/7000 ... Revue.htmlUtah made its debut appearance in Florida last summer, eschewing the nearby NBA Summer League in Las Vegas whose creation largely led to the Revue's demise.
"I thought it was well-run by a good organization," O'Connor said of the Orlando league, "and we (like) the fact that it's 'just basketball.' " Games in Orlando are open only to team officials, scouts and media members — but not fans.

That's about as sincere as when a player says they like how Salt Lake feels like a college town.
