Enes Kanter to Blazers for 6th pick?

Post#1 » by Zohan » Tue Jun 26, 2012 8:59 am

Blazer fan here, want to get an opinion of what Utah fans think about trading Enes Kanter for the 6th pick in the draft? Seems like it would be a perfect trade for both team. Blazers need a young Center for the future and you guys are overstocked in the front court. Jazz need a future pg, and Lillard played college ball in the state and would be very popular. What you guys think?

So we picked him 3rd, and we're going to trade him for the 6th pick after a very solid rookie year, with no summer league and no training camp? And then we're going to spend that pick by over-reaching for Lillard? Yeah, that's a good idea......

I think Kanter would probably go around 12th in this draft really.

I don't really think he's really got a lot of reasons to be considered a better prospect than Drummond or Leonard who are going to go somewhere between 9 and 15.

Change the title to Kanter for Lillard and see what happens on the trade board.

Kanter would be the 12th pick in this yrs draft? Are you a Jazz fan?

No.

Counter offer:
Millsap, Raja and the GS pick for Matthews and the #6.

This is actually an excellent deal for both sides, but I cant see KOC dealing with the Blazers.

Kanter a 12th pick?! Seriously, everyone is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIGH, over valuing this draft! Everyone from Hollinger to Locke has stated multiple times that this draft is not the draft everyone has been looking forward to for a year.

Ya, I agree and I'm a huge fan of a lot guys in this draft.

You can't possibly tell me that Kanter would go after Drummond with a straight face. I won't even begin to hear the arguments for that.

I'm still pretty intrigued with Enes. I think he can be a pretty good Center in this league, and not because I'm so high on him, it's due to a lack of great Centers in NBA.

I like Enes and what he did for us last year. I think if he was In this draft I think he would still be a top 5 pick.

Neither guy has anything offensively yet and Drummond is a much better defender and athlete. There are arguments to be made for Kanter over Drummond though since Drummond has an iffy personality, but I don't see much of the argument for Kanter over Leonard since Leonard has most of the same intriguing elements but is a lot smarter and more explosive.

Knowing what we know now about Enes, he'd be top 4 in this year's draft ahead of Drummond and Beal. He's going to be a top-5 rebounder in the league and has a lot of offensive potential. Drummond is a good prospect too, but his ability didn't translate to production in college and several teams are afraid he'll bust. Otherwise, Drummond would go #2. Davis looks like a franchise player. Robinson has near-Karl Malone potential. MKG has advocates and detractors. Kanter is a beast.

I'm curious as to how you would rank these 4 center prospects:
Kanter, Leonard, Drummond and Valanciuas. Would you rank Enes 4th?

Would you trade Kanter for Leonard?
