What or whom is the missing piece?

What or whom is the missing piece to push over to the next level and become true contenders?? With the youth on this squad we do need some time but other than that, does trading Millsap or Jefferson benefit us for the now or the future? By trading them just to open up more minutes for the young bigs isn't that almost taking a step back? I want all the young guys to get minutes and mature but if we do that are we sacrificing wins in the present time? I think so. It seems like whomever we trade for Jefferson or Millsap they won't be our a immediate starter. I think our missing pieces are experience, a legĂt pg and bench scoring.

I think we have more than one missing piece and it has been the same piece for quite some time.
3pt shooter
atlethic wingman / go to scorer
wing defender
development of Kanter/Favors

I will say it a hundred times... trade Millsap and whatever pick is needed to get into the top #5 with Sacramento.
If we have to buy a pick... to add to it fine. I don't know if Sacramento is serious about the offers of Houston's #14, #16, #18 for #5 or if it involves Lowry or what but the more I here about Lowry as a person the more I would be scared off if I have a young team.
If I were the Jazz I would try desperately to get Dallas' pick at #17 by moving the TPE for Odom (buying him out for $2.4) saving the Mavs $3.5 for the Deron palooza. If we have to throw in our pick next year... fine.
Then we package Millsap/#17 for #5.
I would then try to swap the GSW pick for Lillard at #10 if he is still there. Get the rebuild over with already.
With #5 take Gillchrist or Barnes whoever falls.

What -> A PG
Whom -> Deron Williams
Yes, I am serious. And yes, I know it will never happen.

We've only been "rebuilding" for one season. Imagine how awful it must feel being a perennial rebuilder like the Bucks or Dubs. Ugh

An identity. I think it comes down to who we trade, Harris or Jefferson. Whomever we keep dictates the pace we play.

A superstar, someone who can create their own shot.
