Who is going to get all of Brand's minutes in Philadelphia? Jefferson or Millsap?

LaVoy Allen and Thad Young......
Is there anybody we would want from Philly? Igoudala made sense before we traded for Marvin......

They have a ton of players at the 2/3 and someone has to go..
Evan Turner, Andre Igoudala, Thad Young, Nick Young, Moe Harkless and if they decide to resign Lou Williams he's included in the conversation. Not enough minutes for some guys and they all are young players.

The Nick Young signing means Lou is a goner.

Seems like the SF position is already filled out for Utah if your thinking Iggy...

The trade for Marvin Williams doesn't mean that he will play for the Jazz. It might just be part of a bigger move. Jefferson for Iggy makes a lot of sense on both sides.
Philly is gonna desperately need a big man now, and Jefferson's "awful" contract is 4 mill less than Brand was getting. Plus Jefferson is a far better player.
Philly drafted a SF, so that increases the odds of an Iggy trade.
For the Jazz it just makes sense to clear the logjam and bring in a top talent like Iggy. Honestly, not sure how Iggy and Millsap would work. Millsap would have to be our sixth man.

True, though there are trade restrictions.
http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q97Marvin couldn't be combined with another player in another trade for 2 months--which would be mid-September. And by all reports I've heard the Jazz like Williams and he is penciled in as the starter right now. There is lots more offseason to go but I'd be surprised to see him moved.

Thanks for that! That's actually good to know, cuz I like Marvin. Maybe we'll get real lucky and it'll be Iggy for Al and Raja! Hahahaha

I would do A LOT to get Thad Young here in a Jazz jersey. Always been one of my top targets for the Jazz.

I wonder why more teams don't bid for players on waivers? For example; why not bit $1 million, and the Jazz would get him for that and Philadelphia has to pay the rest of his contract.
Elton Brand is not amazing but he is certainly worth $1 million for one season.
I know that the response is going to be that it would create a logjam for the Jazz, but is 5 bigs really too many?

someone will definitely pick him up, last season 11/7 with good def he is far more value than 1 mln$, Fav/Brand that would by sick def duo, but lets talk about some thing different if we already get two Williams why not get third, lets get Lou

In order to bid on an amnestied player on the cheap the team must be under the CAP with the bid. Once they clear the initial process any team can sign them for available money. Brand is definitely worth something especially at a bargain rate.

As a Sixer fan I would love that. Unfortunately, it won't happen.
Srsly, Sixers and Jazz are the perfect trade partners but there is nothing going on between the 2 teams.

The offseason is still young. I wouldn't be surprised if the 6ers are working on getting into the Howard sweepstakes and if things don't work out they'll move on to other avenues.

+1
Plus, the relationship between Philadelphia and KOC has always been good.

As a Sixers fan when it comes to your bigs:
Favors: would love him. I'd give up Thad and Iggy or Turner for him. He's probably untouchable though.
Jefferson/Millsap: I'd give up Thad or Iggy for either. I'd rather have Jefferson as he could play center if need be. I wouldn't give Turner up for either of them.
Kanter: I'd take him and cap fodder for Thad. I think Iggy or Turner could fetch more than Kanter.

Would you guys do Favors, Earl Watson for Evan Turner and Ed Davis (Assuming Iggy to rumored raptors deal goes through) and 2015 unprotected first.

No. We're not trading Favors. Jefferson or Millsap yes.
