PG options?

The Jazz have made some great moves this summer. However, most of us will agree that the Mo trade seems a temporary fix. If so, what young PG's might the Jazz have their sights on?

Here's a quick list of young PG options. Who would fit best and what would be fair value to give up for them via trade or cap space, etc.

Young PG's in the league.
Knight
Irving
Wall
Maynor
Curry
Ellis
Holiday
Tyreke
Conley
Jennings
Jeff Teague
Beaubouis(?)
Bledsoe
Norris Cole
Jimmer
shelvin Mack
Kendall Marshall
Isaiah Thomas
Aaron Brooks
Kemba walker
Scott Machado

*ALEC BURKS
*EDIT: Corbin said today that they'd like to see Burks playing more minutes at the PG position.*

No doubt I missed some.

Personally I would love to see the Jazz invite Machado to training camp.

I am not a huge Mo Williams fan but I think KOC is a huge fan. I think he is our PG this year and several more years to come. I do think we can win a championship with him at PG. The biggest issue is pick and roll defense for Big AL. I do not think he will ever be good at it and I am disappointed that he is still on the team.

Ah yes, there's nothing GMs love to do more than make worthless trades with their in division rivals.

I think he just signed with the Pacers.

I'm interested to see if Mr. Jimothy Clifford Fredette has a successful year or not. I doubt if he has a very long stint with the Kings and you know O'connor has his eye on him. I'm also curious to see how Kendall Marshall's game translates in the NBA...if he reaches his potential as a distributor and gets by scoring 12-15 points a game I'd be interested, but we'd probably never get him. I don't know - I like Mo a lot better than Harris, I think he's going to work out pretty well. Maybe we get GS's lottery pick next year and pick up our PG of the future, if someone emerges to be that good.

Our PG options this year are Williams, Watson, Tinsley, and sometimes Burks.

I'm fine with Mo Williams, and I think Tinsley looked great in what time he got last year.

I don't see much changing at the 1 for a few years unless we get another opportunity in the draft like the year Deron and Paul were drafted.

I assume we'll stand pat with the 3 pg options we have now. They will be consistent. Barring injury I doubt that Burks sees playing time at the point. I believe though we likely will see him bring the ball up more often and initiate the offense along side Mo as Mo is a threat playing off of the ball to score. I can't say that about TInsley, Watson, or Harris.

I'd be happy to carry Blake Ahearn on the Inactive list, in case of injury and because he's such a damn likeable guy that I want to see stick somewhere.

So if the Kings just signed Brooks who is the odd PG out?

We really should trade for Jimmer... just saying.

I'd take a gamble on Jimmer than sign Ahearn. But they're millions of dollars apart, so Jazz FO might not.

You bet a third string PG who is a ball hog would really improve our team. In Vegas he is alienating a new batch of teammates.

We could have used C. J. Watson or Aaron Brooks... one signed for vet mimimun money and the other for 2 season at 3.3M per... we're going to be paying 2 millions for a rough dude who can't run a team...

Yeah. How dare Jimmer go 10-21 and 8-8 on free throws with all those elite summer leagu-ers as scoring options. They are probably offended beyond belief for Jimmer doing what the coaches asked. Turrible! :noway: :noway: :noway:

I could not take a whole season of Hrpering and Boler talking about how Brooks looks like Chris Rock.
