Are they serious? 11 million for a complete moron in Jevale McGee. You guys know I hate Big AL's game but he is better then Jevale McGee and Humphries who signed a similar 2 year contract. 2 of the dumbest people in the world getting 11 million per year. OMG I wouldnt want either one on the Jazz for 1 million per year.

Going to be interesting what happens with Big Al and Millsap. Cant pay both of them that type of money as they are both better than McGee and Humphries and even their pet dogs are smarter then those two now rich chumps! How do these GMs get jobs? Where do I apply bc believe me Im not paying those guys any decent money!

If you wouldn't take McGee or Humphries for 1 million... then you would be an awful GM. I agree that neither of them are even all-star caliber players, but for 1 million a year?! Yes please.

That being said, no doubt Denver is going to regret that contract much like they regretted Nene's. The Nets won't care cuz they've got billions.

I actually dont think its that bad. He has some talent and still very young.
I watched him a lot in DC and if he can improve his awareness he will be solid.

As much as he is immature now, he does have a good support system and family. Once he got out of the dysfunctional Washington environment he began to become the player he has the potential to be.

We saw a glimpse of what he could become at the end of the year and during the playoffs. I actually think it is a good deal for Denver. He already is a better player and has way more upside than Deandre Jordan at LAC who got the exact same deal and isn't near the player McGee is and can become.

I think McGee would easily get the max next year from Portland or some other team who needs a defensive center. Size and Length pay off big. This guy has huge upside.

As far as Humphries, he is definately way overpaid but their owner is a billionaire, their GM is an idiot and overpaying is their norm. (Wallace, Joe Johnson, Travis Outlaw etc) I also think that there had to be some sort of quid pro quo with Humphries who if he agreed to stay away from signing elsewhere while they tried to get the D Howard deal done he would be awarded.. Alas it worked out great for Humphries, but it severely scews the market for everyone else.

I think McGee by the end of his contract will be worth that price...... It's not a bad signing by the Nuggets......

Good value for mcgee considering what other players especially big men have gotten over the past few years. Lots of potential and desire to put it all together. I think he will be fine, he's does some dumb things but that is correctable as he matures. At least he's not sitting around getting fat and being a real problem off the court.

Humpries is overpaid but its only for two years and they most likely were not gonna do nothing else with what they are gonna pay him due to the cap situation they were already in so its really not a big deal. I mean he did average 14 and 11 last year on 48% shooting which isn't like he's some scrub.

I predict HolyToledo creating a thread exactly 1 year to the day from now presenting a trade to get Javale McGee to the Jazz.

Javalee will mature into a defensive beast. I'd take him on for 11 mill.

Favors + McGee = best defensive interior in the league

b) 11 million is market rate for a good big man
c) he didnt do anything stupid once he got to denver...all those youtube videos are from washington
d) you dont want javale on the jazz? denver is pleased with that decision
e) you arent smarter than any GMs

true except compared to nene's deal..its shorter, cheaper, for a younger guy who misses far less games.
