Adam Silver admitted that this year may see advertisements on jerseys. Just curious how y'all feel about that. Also, I'm curious if this will effect the BRI and thus future salary caps. What do you all think?

I mentioned this in the general thread..my opinion...

if they got by without them in the 80's and 90's...why do they need them now??

Keep the tradition. Fight the stupid ads..does not help the game.

i guess they figure the money coming from the advertisers are more important than the money coming from the fans. cuz they will be making less money from jersey sales.

Not that it works like this, but would you trade the small adver. patch for a total flopping crackdown? I would.

This is going to be one of those things which is upsetting at first, but as the basketball starts getting played we'll completely forget about it. As long as they aren't complete eyesores.

That is something I didn't think about! Are the ads going to be on the jerseys sold to the public, or only actual game jerseys?

I don't really see any difference....... Soccer jerseys have sponsor's logos on them, and no one complains about them.......

That's because no one likes soccer. Other than the couple billion that do.

They confirmed that they would be on both.

If I had the money I would buy a big spot and put on it.

We all know the sponsor will either involve direct marketing or anti-environmental lobbying.
