Jazz free agent forward Josh Howard expected to make a decision soon, source tell Y! Sports. Utah, IND, GS, BK and NY in mix.
We dont need him back. Why would we have him coming back as there is no room for him? I guarantee that if the Jazz sign him too (which I still doubt) then some huge deal about to happen where the Jazz trade 2/3 players for 1 player. It would be the only thing that would make sense.

As insurance, I wouldn't mind having him back...... Especially if we move Jefferson or Millsap.......
I think if he does re-sign with Utah, it definitely means one, or both, of those players is gone before the season even starts......
Having said that, I don't think he's coming back, I think he just included Utah in that list to be nice......

That doesn't guarantee anything D Carroll has not been officially signed yet so if Howard "chooses" the Jazz then we just don't sign Carroll, simple as that.

DeMarre Carroll is off doing jr. Jazz camps in Wyoming. Doubt he'd be doing that if he wasn't under contract.

I doubt he signs with the Jazz but I would take Howard over Carroll. Not my money though!
Experience & scoring > youth and defense

Except Howard couldn't dribble without hitting his foot during the last part of the season (when he wasn't injured). A player who isn't hurt 50% of the time < one that is.

The Jazz own the player option with Carroll so they can still waive him.

A good point but I think you meant A player who isn't hurt 50% of the time > one that is.

I get the feeling that Howard isn't seriously going to be here, but just throwing in Utah to help maybe get a better offer on the market.
