Bell on the radio in Miami....

So on the way home on The Zone they played a clip from Raja who was on Miami sports talk radio and discussed his situation. He basically reiterated that he wants to play elsewhere but it isn't up to him right now because he is under contract. He was to meet with the Jazz for a physical Monday and hoped they would just tell him he is being waived or traded. Upon being prodded Raja gave Miami as the top of his list of where he would like to play so that he could play in his hometown where his kids go to school.....and win a ring (yes, the Miami radio guys are already crowning the Heat 2013 champs). But he admitted that is probably a long shot since they already have a deep bench with good players. Raja wants to go to a place where he doesn't have to play 35 minutes a night because he doesn't want to have to do that at this point in his career.

I thought players under contract couldn't talk about other teams like that (fine coming from the commissioner's office?). The sooner he is dumped the better...

Not to mention the radio guys said that Raja and the Jazz agreed not to publically discuss the issue anymore--but then this.

At least he doesn't want minutes. That can definitely be arranged.

Raja is became an enemy...of the jazz nation. He spent only one year to do so.

Haha, he doesn't want to play 35 minutes a night. I don't think he has to worry about that regardless of where he ends up.

It's funny that Raja is butt buddies with everyone in Miami. Obvious he wants to be there on the Heat.

You can single-handedly trace the demise of Sloan, Williams, and the playoff-contending Jazz to the decision to let Matthews go get an offer from someone else and replace him and Korver with Bell.

Glad that worked out so well :banghead:

Misguided to thing that it "single-handedly" caused all that.

If he is from Miami and his kids live there......then it benefits both parties to let him go or have Miami pay part of his Jazz salary and take him.

Bye Raja- he used to be a great 3 point shooter and good player.
