iM watching the game here in Cali with Laker anouncers. The Jazz have defintely changed their offense style to Denver Nugget/Phoenix SUns style. I requested this 2 years ago but watching it, I am little concerned. I dont think we have the PG guard to run this and players taking 1st shot available instead of moving the ball. Going to be interesting how this offense works out.

New offensive style can lead to players resting on defense thus bad defense, but that may not be problem since the Jazz are deep and likely play 10-11 players per game.

I agree. I don't like the shots the Jazz are taking under this new fast paced offense. They take a lot of bad shots. In the half court sets I saw better plays, Like the Marvin post up.

I don't think Mo is the right kind of PG for this offense. He is much better suited for last year's offense. We'll see how it goes. This roster makes me concerned about who can create plays off the dribble except Burks and Hayward.

Kanter looks good, Favors shows no improvement on offense.

i hate corbin, realy i hate him, kanter is the 3rd pick but never startet in a single game, not in preseason game

irving-derrick williams-tristan thompson-jan vesely al those guys have many minutes but kanter didnt, can he not see that this guy is ready to explode

he can score evry night double-doubles but corbin stops him

Ugly first half by the Jazz except for Marvin Williams who shot well and played decent defense. This new style is going to lead to a lot of high scoring games unless the teams shoot under 36% like they are in this game. Great defense, no way, just simply bad shot selection. With this new style we will either be good like Okla City or be the Sacramento Kings. Players will love it but I am not sure it translate into more wins.

Mo just tried to penetrate and got blocked by Steve Nash. Yes, Steve Nash.

Our boxing out is horrible and our bigs arent as effective at getting to the line which is amazing if you look at it we've been to the line 5 times to the lakers 22 lol. not a big gap at all.

Kanter is a rebounding machine. If he gets major minutes he is going to be top 3 in the league in rebounds. I know everyone has written this guy off as a bust or whatever but I think he is way better than Jonas Valenciunas.

What's happening with Favors? Pressure? "Camp legs"?
It's time to jazz with Hayward and Favors!

He might be the type of player that needs a PG to create a shot for him and we simply dont have one.

This.

But he also need a different system. He is a PnR player, or so it seems, but the Jazz don't play much PnR. Right now he looks like he looked at the beginning of last year, when he fouled a lot and wasn't able to make himself noticeable on offense. I think it will get better, don't need to be concerned just yet. But I was hoping his shooting form will improve and it hasn't.

Good God. I can't take another year of this. It's self-parody at this point.

I'm excited about Marvin Williams though. He's balling. Big Upgrade.

Of course, after 7 season with CJ I'll be excited about just about anybody who is not CJ.

I like Marvin Williams a lot. A very good player that might be the Jazz best player by the end of the year.

Offense looks less stupid in the second half. going to be a fun team to watch this year. I will give Corbin this, he isnt afraid to make changes bc there is no way Sloan would agree to this style.
