Jazz new offense

Jazz are basically running the Suns/nuggets run and gun offense. I like it and called for this when we had DWill who would be great in it, but Mo WIlliams, though a team leader, is not a true PG. He shoots it way too often such that guys will begin to not run with him. Shot selection will be important and there wil be guys that thrive in this offense and others who will not like it at all.
Burks has gone to heaven. Great offense for him.
Hayward will do well in it.
Mo WIlliams will have inflated stats which will help his free agent run.
Kanter and Favors will get a few extra dunks when they run the floor hard.
Marvin Williams is good in any offense (I really think he makes a run at the allstar game this year).
Bad offense for Big AL (I hate the way he plays so I dont care)
Millsap could flourish in it but could also see his stats slip bc of lack of touches.
Foye becomes too much of a chucker in it.
Defense will suffer greatly at times but since Jazz players are young and active it should be ok.
Rarely do teams win playoffs games running and gunning.
Overall I give Corbin props for being his own man and running the Jazz dramatically different than ever before. Now only if he could substitute better and manage the game better.

In the playoffs teams get serious and the fast break offense is the easiest to defend when you want to. All a team has to do is run with them. But during the season many of them are slackers.
Defense doesn't have to suffer if they run back and complete the full fast break offense INto defense. But again... slackers have a hard time with this.
I agree the Jazz should run more, but not sure it is the solution. The outlet pass into the fast break should always be the first option I've wished the Jazz would do more often. I've often yellled at the tv seeing D-will standing at the corner three spot waiting for the throw in and not getting it until the center takes a couple breaths of disgust because they just got slammed on. D-will then ends up joggin up to the throw in and walking it up the floor. I hope that changes with the pg this year

No way Marvin Williams makes a run at the All-Star game. Over who?
Griffin/Love/Nowitzki/Aldrige/Duncan
Durant/Gay/Gallo
Lets say 5 guards, 5 forwards, and 2 centers get picked, Do you think there is anyway he gets in before Griffin, Love, Nowitzki, Durant and Gay?
The Jazz are pretty deep like Atlanta, so Marvin may be 4th or 5th best scorer on the team. I put Big Al, Millsap, and Hayward ahead of him for sure, and I think Mo Williams will be at his par or better.

This is my concern, too, and why I overlook more of Jefferson's weaknesses. In the LA game, there were still a good number of possessions given to post up plays, so I'm hopeful we find a good mix.

Run and gun can be quite effective, ask the showtime Lakers.

I like that we're exploring other options, besides giving the ball to Al or Sap and letting them work in the post. Marvin is doing great posting up. Hayward has been a bigger part of the offense. I like the fact that Mo pushes the ball upcourt in a hurry, although things seem a little sloppy at times. I just wish we'd run more pick'n'rolls, especially for Favors. He's been great defensively as usual, but he needs to get more involved offensively.

I thought Locke did a pretty good job explaining the offense

Long as we don't turn into the next Suns/Knicks running style game (and keep the old school Jazz UCLA backdoor cut..) I'm ok with it.. especially how we were clicking against the Lakers tonight!
