Not Millsap or Jefferson anymore

I think it has switch to Millsap or Marvin Williams, Jeffersons skill set is something we don't have.
I love Sap but I think Williams fits much better He plays SF much better and can sub at PF if need be.
We won't really know till the year is over but my bet is Williams.

This is an interesting wrinkle to the debate. I agree that Marvin's presence on the roster does make Millsap more expendable.

Of the Millsap, Marvin, Jefferson threesome, Millsap's the one that already topped his game. The other two guys still have room to grow. I love Millsap, really, but I'd prefer to invest the money he will demand on another guy and let him get his big paycheck elsewere. And if such thing happen, I will applaud him forever.

I'm playing with ESPN's trade checker and just about all the teams we can deal with have half the team trade restricted. Another issue is that the Jazz need an upgrade at PG but can't really trade those guys in the package since not many PGs better than Mo are really reasonable.

Not really agreeing, Marvin does not replace Millsap. Millsap is a undersized, but good PF who can play SF, but not an ideal SF, while Marvin is an ideal SF, but not really ideal PF. At best these guys play their secondary position when the team needs them cause of injuries or really not having a whole lot of options at the position, like we did last year with Millsap at PF.

Now trading Millsap or Jefferson automatically gives Favors and Kanter 32-34 minutes more. Millsap gone, Jefferson can split minutes between PF and C to free up minutes for Kanter and Favors, Jefferson leaves, Favors and Kanter get a ton of oportunity at C, and Favors gets like 16 minutes at the PF position left from Millsap's 32. Either way you look at it, clealy trading Millsap or Jefferson is the way to go to give these guys playing time.

Most of the elite PG's are in good situations right now, recently got there, resigned, or have great contracts, so their teams wouldn't even think of trading them for just Millsap or Jefferson, and I think what we're looking for is a big upgrade, not a guy clearly below All-Star level PG. It's no coincidence we got Mo Williams, no great PG is really available, our best chance might of been Williams had the Nets decided to keep going after Dwight Howard, but I guess they were smart.

The only player I could think of was Rondo and that's not reasonable at this point unless some drastic change happens in the next 2 months. The current situation shows a lot of foresight by KOC. The Jazz are loaded top to bottom with players the Lakers and Heat would accept on their team without question. Beyond those teams stars there's only a handful of players the Jazz would take on at no cost.
