Can someone please explain to me why we signed CORBIN to an extension?

My guess is that management's philosophy is that a lame-duck coach is vulnerable to being ignored by the players. You'll notice they didn't sign him to a multi-year extension. It's not like he has tenure; he's still being evaluated year-to-year.

He is cheap! He is there! and the Jazz organization hope it works out! Actually, I think he is a good practice coach that gets his players to play hard for him, but he is the WORST, and I mean the WORST, game manger (which includes time outs and substitutions) I have ever seen.

They didn't sign him to an extention--they exercised their option on year three of his contract that was originally 2 years plus an option for a third year.

This is his first year with a training camp and pre-season so I don't know how you justify jettisoning someone this quickly who was widely recognized as a young coach who would be a HC at some point before long. What should they do, open the coach carousel to one of the Van Gundy's or something?

You all realize it's November right? And not March?

We are used to Sloan, a HOF coach. Corbin ha's only coached a short stretch in 2010-11 (mind you, a pretty nasty situation too), then a shortened season. It's only games in, the Celtcs are off to a bad start, so are the Lakers, and other teams which are going to be very good this season. Give it some time.

BTW the Magic are 2-0... that should tell you how early in the season it is lol
