And the Jazz FO tried to convince Sloan to stay by giving them their long-term plan. Sloan didn't want any part of it.

Everyone is telling the truth. DWill didn't force Sloan out. Sloan really was done after learning his AS PG (whom he drafted) would be gone.

Could it be that Jerry Sloan retired not because the Jazz FO wouldn't suspend Deron, but that they told him they were trying to trade DWill?

it have some sens but i dont think Jerry would quit after hearing that they want to trade Deron, i remember whole conference it was so emotional like if something different happened. Back then i was not happy in way that team plays but now i would love to have Sloan back.

I've been saying this from day one. If anyone actually took the time to think about it, it's the only scenario that makes sense. Why would the jazz let D-Will "drive" Jerry out just to trade him less than a week later? The jazz told Sloan that they were trading Deron and Sloan didn't want to rebuild. So now maybe all those ignorant fools who booed Deron can stuff a sock in it.

I never really understood why people were blaming Deron for Jerry leaving......

Perhaps both is true. FO interferred with Sloan "reprimanding" Deron because they were concerned that it might affect the trade discussions (by giving the other side more leverage in the negotiations) causing friction with Sloan. FO may also have had a very different opinion on whether to trade Deron or who/what to trade him for, Deron was a guy to build around in Sloan's system. If it became clear to Sloan that they were interfering with his coaching, that they were taking a different path than he wanted, and that the trade they settle on was cross purposes with what fits Sloan's system, Sloan would probably have, quite rightly, viewed it as the FO handing him his hat and instead of being "asked" to retire after the season or next, he left on his own terms just like the stubborn awesome guy he is.

This makes a lot more sense than quitting AFTER trading a guy you supposedly didn't like. I think all this is probably pretty independent though. Jerry's relationship with the team was likely not that intertwined with his relationship with Deron Williams.

I understand it completely: it's convenient to blame the guy who isn't around any more. Happens all the time in every setting in life.

I think the most likely explanation is that the Sloan/D-Will relationship WAS at the heart of Sloan leaving. I'm not going to put the blame on one or the other; they're both stubborn competitive guys who don't like being wrong and hate losing.
Once Sloan left I think the front office realized a few things:
1) If Sloan couldn't get this team to succeed (if you recall that year's team struggled), what chance did Corbin have?
2) In Jerry's absense D-Will might step all over Corbin
3) Sensing that some in the fanbase where blaming Deron, the front office decided that rather than awkwardly support their all-star, franchise PG against accusations of him chasing off their HoF coach they side-stepped the issue by trading him.
