Looks like Jabari Parker (like Chris Burgess before him) is eschewing the white and blue of BYU for the white and blue of Duke.
Hopefully he lives up to expectations better than Burgess did. He certainly picked a good coach.

I understand the Roger Reid reference, I just hope the reference to religion doesn't get this off track or go beyond a specific jab at a specific coach who said something silly a decade ago.

The national exposure, tv views, and college atmosphere will be better at Duke. He will also be playing against better players consistently.

BYU would have been a fine choice too, but hopefully no members of the LDS faith truly think any LDS person is obligated to go there for any reason......its just another University (that says prayers before classes and is the polar opposite of the true college experience from the non-LDS perspective).

I was just hoping to be able to see him play. But I always thought he'd probably go with Duke...it's the best fit.
