Is Deron Williams about his Coach killing ways again?

http://offthedribble.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/28/williams-dismisses-view-that-he-caused-coachs-firing/?smid=tw-shareI just find it interesting when a new coach is really excited to get a player who was fighting with their former coach, and the disgruntled player ends up getting their new coach fired:
Stephen Jackson fought publicly with Don Nelson traded to the Bobcats and gets Larry Brown fired.
Deron Williams fought publicly with Jerry Sloan traded to the Nets and gets Avery Johnson fired.
Demarcus Cousins fought publicly with Paul Westphal AND Keith Smart ...

Deron did not get Avery fired....... Avery is a poor Coach......
Deron did not get Sloan fired, either.......

I didn't say that he got Sloan fired. Nor did Stephen Jackson get Don Nelson fired. It is usually the second coach. Paul Westphal was an exception.

If Cousins get traded to Boston, I do think that he will have a hard time getting Doc Rivers fired.
The common scenario is a team with a decent coach but a terrible record (mainly due to missing assets) are making a desperate trade to improve (i.e., Larry Brown and Bobcats, Avery Johnson and Nets). So the coach's are already in a little bit of hot water, and the new star player (aka cancer) fights against them and it is the final nail in the coaches coffin.

If you weren't suggesting that Deron got Sloan fired what is "again" doing in the tread title?

He didn't get him fired, but was absolutely the cause of Sloan's resignation. Do you disagree? If not, then I think his actions with Sloan still fit under the "Coach Killing" category. Even if Sloan's departure was voluntary.

I do disagree with that...... Deron always played hard when he was in Utah....... He didn't fake any injuries, and didn't take nights off.......
So, in what way was he the cause of Sloan's departure? Because he made it clear he wasn't spending his entire career with the Jazz? That's his right......

Deron has to be frustrated.
In utah he was a superstar, under Sloan. Right now he is playing his worst basketball and his nets aren't better than jazz from 2006-07 to 2009-10

Uhhm . You are definitely in the minority then. If happened in Chicago DURING a game, and Williams almost got into a fist fight with Sloan. When Greg "the idiot" Miller didn't suspend Williams, Sloan quit. Simple as that.
Blame Greg Miller or blame Deron Williams, but he was one of the principle reasons that Sloan is gone. Why do you think that Deron Williams coach killing is newsworthy enough to be the subject of the article above? Because it is true!

I am also the minority then. Also, I have never heard anything about this supposed fist fight.
I do think Deron had more to do with Avery's firing than Sloan's resignation. How does a guy win coach of the month consecutively and then get fired almost immediately after his "star" player shows his displeasure.

I think it was entirely the owner's decision...... Russian billionaires do not like to lose, just look at Chelsea and Abramovich.......

I still can't believe you sport that signature. Only a Jazz fan could not appreciate Jerry Sloan.

I appreciate all his work in the regular season just fine....... I also appreciate how he failed to win any championships with two of the greatest players of all time...... And only had two finals appearances in 20 years....... And before you start whining about Jordan, or anything else, Olajuwon and Rudy T. still managed two rings.......

Red is just jealous! It gives him something to complain about.

Exactly. Non-Jazz fans weren't paying enough attention to notice all of his flaws and at some point they all bought into the legend.

I am jealous of all the money he stole from the Millers over 20 years....... Although, they were probably just as happy to get to the playoffs and make a profit.....

He is playing bad he is out of shape, so of course in some way he was the reason why Johnson was fired
