I think this kind of goes with the less is more topic, but I'm starting to think he is one of the big problems. Tinsley has shown he can occasionally hit the open shot, and is a talented ball handler and distributer. He does lack somewhat on the defensive end, but I like what he brings to the team.

Watson on the other hand, often plays out of control, always has to take the last shot, and is completely limited on offense. I'd like to see us give Burks all his minutes. I'm tired of us playing 4 on 5 in our offensive sets. I appreciate the heart that Watson has brought to the team, but does anyone else think it's time for him to go?

yes. he's a great guy, and i wouldn't mind seeing him staying with the jazz in some capacity after he retires. he says he wants to be a coach, so maybe being part of the coaching staff. no problems with that. but as far as his play - i don't want to see him anymore on the court, i'm just done with him.

once in a very long while he provides a real spark, but most of the time he commits unnecessary fouls on defense that kills momentum and hurt the jazz later in the game. the offense is stuck with him on the floor, he is not a threat offensively and he always was a high turnover guy which is really flagrant given the amount of minutes he's getting. except the rare alleyhoop pass he's got nothing against a set half court defense, and it hurts the entire team because he puts the other players in bad positions that often ends in more turnovers. he needs to go, or ride the pine. even with mo out, he should still be our 3rd PG after tinsley and burks. i really don't want to see him anymore, he's just getting me pissed off. he managed to bring back two of our opponents to the game in the last 3 games.

I have been telling people since he came back from injury this year, that he would be the death of us. IF he would have stayed injured, we would have stuck with burks or put Murphy in more. I mean Wat's has love for the game, but his "put pressure on the defense by running the ball", only makes his playing look scrambling and laggy with ball handling and made our bench unit last night look like a bunch of vervet monkeys.

Like I think Tinlsey is perfect for the bench, even though I rather see a great point leader, like JR Smith or Andre Miller. Tinsley runs a squad of young talented players who need leadership from a guy who they trust and love. Our starters need a guy equal or greater than Mo, who is not only a full team leader, but who can make points even in the 4th and control tempo even when things turn on us. I believe Mo is good enough to be this man. Actually Tinsley is getting better, and stepped up on everything that we asked, especially making points. Seriously Tinsley is good enough to be starter, but we don't think we have a decent PG in the bench with Burks(which is stupid, cause he has stepped up the first time he got great minutes and won)...


After last night, I knew a Watson thread would pop up. I think everyone can agree on Burks playing tonight. Its against a losing Pistons team, which will give Burks more training that he needs. I just can't believe after seeing the "Miracle Unit" the other day, that they wouldn't have Burks run the ball again(cause he was good enough to do it for the starters in clutch minutes in the 4th).

I think its hard for bench to accept Watson as their leader on the court. They can't rely on him, and can't trust him to make good plays. I just think they played un-comfotably last night with him. Biggest factor, Watson isn't there when tides change. Atlanta hit us like an iceberg at the end of 3rd and Watson was our Titantic. You can't leave everyone on ship with him to die. After last night, all confidence in him is dead.

Burks brought us back in the game last night, and made a huge dunk to seal the deal, with 7-8 points up and 1:38 or so left, and during the break, Corbin puts in Watson!!!!

From the dunk that Burks made, our team did not make any other Field Goal, while Watson turned the ball over a couple of times and being the reason for a lot of bad plays. We are lucky we didn't lose, and we weren't as lucky in ATL, a game we would have won, if Watson was not played.......Watson = DNP

I don't think Burks is the greatest in the world, but he is ten times better than Watson, and he has proved himself against harder odds, by making huge plays in Clutch time, making plays with the game on the line....

Watson couldn't score a point in the second half if his life depended on it, let alone the game. Watson can barely make a layup even if he is wide open on a fast break point. He is just a pathetic excuse for a defender, and in a league of PG shooters, he is going to be the death of us, if we play him anymore.....

I bet there are D-League PG's that can play Jazz Ball better than him. Murphy looks like a jack rabbit in rush, but you give him a solid 5 mins a game, so he won't come out trying so hard and I am sure he could handle the ball better than Watson....but its obvious that Burks is our man, just replay the last two games and find one reason to keep Watson, and your better off finding 100 reasons to keep Burks.

I thought the ATL game was the worst piece of performance I have ever seen from a Jazz man....but the Piston game's performance was just as bad cause everyones confidence drops down by a half when Watson comes on the floor cause he blew our ATL win. I don't like pointing people out, but he was the primary reason we didn't get 3-0 on the road trip....

I mean if you re-watch the 4th quarter, Burks was playing like a Vet at home, but....he didn't even play like the first 20 games, hasn't had any solid minutes, and is a 1st year pro. Yet he already has proven himself to be good enough to be our starter PG....(If Tinsley screws up at all, we might see Burks take his place(which is what we should do for our benches sake, cause Tinsley should have stayed with the bench)).
