If we win them, they won't be a contender to a playoff spot anymore.

*When the Jazz win tomorrow, it will be the first time in history, the Jazz sweep the season vs Lakers, which will be 3-0!!! This doesn't include the 2-0 in the pre-season!!!! Lakers are having one of the worst seasons in their entire clubs history, its easier to see what we got together, when you compare ourselves to them.

This Jazz team right now has almost everything together. They have some difficulties adding points continuously, and a few weak links. Were not the only playoff team who blows leads though. However, this is no excuse to be up 21 in the end of the 3rd, to only win by 4 points.

Jazz have learned a lot, which is showcased in our only 2 losses in Jan. Re-watch any of these games to see all the greatness. But there is still a lot weaknesses, Marvin is a terrible excuse for a starter, Carroll actually brings something not to mention to both sides of the table. Watson is actually improving and he isn't.

Tinsley is a X-Factor. Our rating is said to be higher with Tinsley. Everyone said we needed a pass first PG, yet Tinsley is one of the best dribblers in the game, who passes first and has shown he can score(he just needs to tighten the TO's and work on that 3pt and layup).

Foye is our other X-Factor, with his hot shooting, and is the 3rd best 3pt maker in the NBA(% on guys with over 200 attempts). He is coming into his own, and isn't just a '3pter", he spreads the floor, and can open shots for the big guys by passing, which makes him more valuable than Korver.

Marvin unfortunately isn't bringing a 3pt performance, actually he brings little to nothing that he did for the ATL. I think Carroll should be started, and Marvin should be the 3rd string who is DNP. But we are winning, I just think a SF, should be putting up 10 points a night, like what Carroll did when he started.

Beat the Lakers and win a few home games and we can be in the middle of the pack. Go Jazz.

Lakers have been on a tough road trip, so this is a welcomed trip home for them. Also, the pressure on them to win right now is so absolutely crazy. Who knows, maybe they will come out and try too hard, but personally I don't like our chances in this one. I think we'll see great performances by Kobe, Nash, and Dwight

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. If we do win, then I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers FO make a change. If we blow them out then I will expect it.

Biggest oversight....Lakers have lost a lot of games, but they weren't all blow outs, they can put up a fight, so its not going to be a walk in the park, these are still HOF's, MVP's and "All-Stars"(obviously you don't use this term loosely anymore). And if Jazz put Kobe to the Free Throw line 30 times again, were not going to win this one in LA!!

We need to just let him shoot, and not foul his self proclaimed "old-ass". We need to out rebound Gasol and Howard, and were gonna need another great performance that we have seen over the course of Jan.....except, we can't continue to repeat our lead losses, and have another upset like ATL and DEN!!!

Either way, its a big road game for us, and an even bigger home win for them(desperate is not safe for us). I don't think Kobe want's to be swooped by us, so I predict great performances by him and Nash, Howard is questionable, I say foul him more than Kobe and were set. We just need to out hustle them, which means starting Carroll and putting him on Kobe, and having Burks run the ball, cause he is faster and younger than Watson!!

Once again the Tribune is crap. They had Jazz as the underdog by 3 1/2, which is basically based off the PPG's and that its @Staples. I know its @Staples, but seriously, the online betting places have the spread with Jazz by 5 points.

Pretty much the 3 1/2 is based off each teams average points per game, with Lakers at 102ish and Utah's 98ish..

I just know the free throws are either gonna kill us, or save us....by not letting Kobe shoot them, and letting Howard shoot them by fouling him when he is gonna get an easy bucket.

The point spread is made to keep bets equal to both sides, not to predict a winner.

Yeah I know....but beating the spread is expected for the better team....

The lesser team's hope is to beat the spread. Crap teams like them will find some comfort beating the spread, although this isn't highschool football, this is a 1 billion dollar club that isn't winning, so there will be no comfort.

I think Jazz really need to take this one. Taking this road game will do wonders for the confidence to take back home!! I say take them out early so that they give up.....just don't stop scoring and linger, while they catch up. That is our problem. I mean you got to continue to score, whether up or down by 10-20 points. We get too comfortable being in the lead and think we won it already, but atlanta proved that its not true.

I don't know if their will be a give up in them during the game. They have been in some tight games and have backed themselves into a wall. Expect them to fight like they have everything to lose. It will be a tough, scrappy fought game. If we win this it will be well earned. I don't see us blowing them out, I just hope we play them tough and have a chance to win at the end.

Return to Utah Jazz
