by saying "Whether you lose by one or by 45 like we did tonight, it's one loss. That's the main thing." This guy is simply wrong person to lead this team, only someone with no dignity, and with no respect for the Fans could say something like this after such a horrible game. I dont understand all those transfer talks on this board because doesn't matter who we get for Al or Sap as long as tyrone corbin is head coach of this team.

Really? Just because of that statement? It's all just mindless rhetoric, doesn't mean anything.
I don't think he's discrediting how bad the 45 point loss was, he's simply saying all losses are equally in unacceptable and have the same effect in the standings.

I think that's what you have to say to keep the players' heads on straight. But we all know that that game was an embarrassment to the franchise. Still, it happens and we had better see some changes. We've seen how far this particular approach is going to take us.

I think of it this way if it were phi jackson he'd send a message to his players indirectly about their poor performance and call them out. If it were greg popivich he'd hold everyone responsible, if it were jerry sloan he'd let the guys who didn't hustle ride the pine. Coach shouldn't try to protect his guys and be their friend he needs hold these guys accountable. a lost by 1 point and a lost by 45 points is an entirely different thing. Loosing by 10-15 ok an off night losing by 45 something is seriously wrong its not hussling its not trying when you dont even try its not just another lost.

I don't see anything particularly outrageous about that statement......
And I've been leading the bandwagon to get rid of Corbin.......
He's still a terrible Coach......

actually what corbin says isn't offensive.
what is offensive is Al Jefferson's "defense"

I just think there are bigger things to complain about, like Foye taking all of Gordon's minutes, not playing tighter rotations and failing to implement any semblance of a consistent offense. I think his comments here are being misinterpreted.

I'm not a Corbin apologist, and lean towards getting another coach.
However, I remember a few years ago (when we had DWill and Boozer) and going to the clippers game with my son. I spent a fair amount to get lower center section seats (much easier to get back then), and was really ticked that the Jazz got completely killed. My recollection is by over 20pts. Jerry pulled the starters early in the 3rd, sat there stone faced and I think that I was more upset than he was.
So, these kinds of games happen to hall of fame coaches too. Differences are that it was at home and the Jazz showed no fight or pride (John and Karl would have each fouled out before losing so badly). I think that this goes to them blowing 15 pt leads too. Perhaps this is where the leadership and fire of Mo is needed, as neither Jefferson or apparently Millsap have it.

How about Corbin's inability to come up with an offensive scheme that takes advantage of the attention Al draws in the post? The best we usually get is a wide open Tinsley 3. I find that offensive.
Or how about his inability to game plan for specific opponents. Locke said the rockets play by play guy couldn't believe we weren't doubling Harden like everyone else does. Instead Corbin just puts Foye on him. I find that offensive.

Does anyone watch any other games that aren't Jazz games......Corbin is probably in the bottom ten when it comes to coaches. A lot of 1st round picks are on the starters of the teams around the league, guys like Hayward would be starters on teams like Pacers.
I don't think Corbin is a good leader at all, nor does he even know how to win. When we win, its a fluke because our guys just happen to do good, and dig into themselves to win(cause no other force is aiding them), which is why we are so inconsistent, cause we don't have guys like Parker and Popavich to guide us every night.
The only reason you can't come back from a game is because your coach is not a motivator and doesn't knows how to win. Popavich is a winner, and Corbin is sloppy seconds of a coach that never made it all the way.
Losing by that much is irreversible, you can't undo it, and shows you how much this coaching staff can't keep this team together. Jazz just have a curse, and its in full effect right now and all the wrong teams are winning right now.
***The only way I can see myself forgiving the Utah Jazz, is if they win both games against POR.
Even then, its too late this season. DAL and LAL are making comebacks, HOU is back to black, and POR are winning lots of tight games. I personally believe POR and HOU are better than us, and should easily be in the playoffs over us, and this doesn't include the LAL and/or DAL, who are likely to be back in the picture by the end of February. Not to mention DEN and GS are winning a lot and are totally better than us, and are almost un-catchable.

I just happen to find this, after thinking about it...Corbin is rated damn there the bottom 5...I know this is last year, but a lot of these coaches are the same...

His statement did not offend me. The play of the jazz against Houston did. It will be interesting to see where ther jazz go from here.

So far 1 decent win. I just have no idea why we lose the games we need to win, but lose the ones we dont? Where was the Jazz two days ago, it was like they were paid to lose this game to give Houston a boost to catch up(beating non-playoff teams helps, especially when they beat other playoff teams, cause that is a boost we need to pass the other playoff teams).
Den beat HOU, which is bitter sweet, cause now Den is further ahead, but Rockets are further back...worst thing is LAL and DAL making come backs, and one of them will make it a tight squeez in the playoffs. I can live in 3rd in NW which is 7th or 8th in West. But I really want to see Jazz make a run for 6th. We might not be as great, but we can win as many wins, DEN and GS are not that far ahead, almost tied with MEM....if we catch up, we could look at 4th

Western Games = Super Important Must Wins(road or home)
Games versus playoff teams = even more superer importanter and superer must wins(all of them)

I think we have to worry about beating Portland even once out of these next two games. Play like tonight and we won't. Needless to say I'm worried about them... bench or no bench, they seem like potential kryptonite for the Jazz.
Speedy talented PG to run right by the corpses we're trotting out.. check. Tall, lanky PF to cause Millsap problems both offensively and defensively... check. Bruiser C who has a knack for rebounding and won't be afraid to toss Al around... check. 3pt shooting specialist wing players ... check. I think we're ****.
