Stuckey wouldnt be a bad pickup if the front office is bent on another run to a first round bounce.

I like Mo. Him plus Tinsley made a decent line up. Tinsley is more old school and old. Mo is more like the average point guard, who is like a PG/SG combo, they just have the ball first so they can shoot it(which all PG's should be able to do, I mean why are you in the NBA if you can't shoot the ball when your wide open).
I think I rather have a point guard who can facilitate and make points, assists are as cool if you had a wide'r open shot. Watson and Tinsley have half of what I would want, but they absolutely suck at penetrating and making plays by themselves or shooting the 3pt, which is why I like Burks so much, cause he has some of these abilities, he just hasn't been given any real role on this team. Imagine if we had Curry on this team for a PG!
We will eventually get our Stockton succeed'er . I just have no idea who we would get. I just figure are best shot would be the draft, like when we got Dwill. I wonder if Jazz would trade Millsap and one of our 1st round picks for a sooner 1st round pick. Were looking at Trey Burke in the non-lottery zone, but a lottery pick could get Carter-Williams or McCollum. I try not and think what could have happened last year, if we would have drafted Lillard for our new PG, hell I would have taken Barnes from GS(who stole our pick).
I kind of like Trey Burke....I just hope we can land one of these young point guards.

You need shooters in the backcourt, or an elite scorer...... Stuckey is neither......

During the draft we will not be able to trade an expired player (Milsap or Jefferson) because they are not signed for the upcoming year. We cannot S&T them until after the July moratorium. So if no deal is done before the trading deadline we have what we have.

There's a reason he's for sale.

or a floor general, or a solid distributor which he also isn't.

I would buy him. He would be such a massive upgrade over Earl and Tinsley, both of whom should be riding the pine somewhere as 3rd PG or be out of the league. Two worst PGs in league? I can't think of any worse.

They're definitely 3rd stringers, but I'd take either at 1-2 million/year over Stuckey at 8.5 million/year.

Mo isnt coming back. So why not make a run for Stuckey now?
No other PG with half the talent of Stuckey would consider coming to Utah.

because we can do better and becasue detroit tried him at PG and it didn't work. he's not a PG.

so take your chances at the draft. or trade for one under contract, so he'd have no choice.

Personally I think it's likely the Jazz make a run at Vasquez.

Well, David Fredman, the Jazz's head scout was at the T'Wolves/Hornets game the other night. I could only see the Jazz interested in Vasquez, maybe Ridnour, or one of the young small forwards from each squad.

Interesting...
No reason to scout Ridnour at this point; gotta be looking at young players.

Agree, StocktonShorts. And I wouldn't be too happy at all if it was Ridnour, I'd much rather experiment with Burks at PG at this point. But if we could land a fairly young, true point guard like Vasquez, I'd be ecstatic. That dude would average 10+ assists in our system, IMO. Favors would really benefit from a point guard like that.
