Chris Broussard says "Jazz and Wolves have talked"

Just listened to Broussard on espn 700 bill n hans show. he is claiming the Wolves are shopping derrick Williams and are itnerested in Millsap. He also put the Jazz odds at maing a deal at 65%.
I think Broussard has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to this deal. I dont think the jazz do it in a million years. Williams is pretty much garbage, and has underachieved mightily. Plus the wolves have love and pek, why would they need Millsap? Millsap would surely leave in free agency from MN because he would have to play behind love. None of it makes sense.
Thoughts?

Only in a three-way deal does it make sense. Utah is looking for what:
- An inexpensive wing
- A replacement big man that can spread the floor
- A PG

Unless the Wolves trade Love for a young stud SG or SF, exirings, and picks. That might be why the interest in Millsap, call me crazy but he is a better player durability wise and teammate than Love. He could probably be cheaper to resign as well. Maybe Millsap, Bell, Watson, and GSW to Wolves, Love to LAC, Bledsoe and Caron to Utah?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bzk6nfuMinny recieves GSW 1st, Utah 2nd, 2013 LAC 1st, and 2015 LAC 1st. They have enough cap room to sign Millsap and Pek in the offseason.
LAC gets Love, he will be out probably until end of March or beginning of April but LAC turns their front line into the best in the west with Love, Griffin, and DJ.
Utah gets their PGOTF.

Good deal for Jazz, Twolves say hell no, and LAC get to slow upfront and say no. BUT mainly Minn gets nothing as picks are not that great.
Jazz get Williams and Ridnour for Millsap and the GSW and Jazz 1 picks. Twolves dont need or want Ridnour and Williams has worn out his wlecome already and they get 2 #1 picks. Jazz get a promising young forward and a starting PG for an expiring contract but lose out on 2 #1 picks in 2013 which is a semi-weak draft.

The Wolves throw up in their mouth at that deal (the Love one), I'm afraid. Obviously like It for us.

BUt if you have been up to date on rumors then we all know that Love was silently wanting a trade to a contender. What better team than LAC? I guess I could rework and send Derrick Williams to LAC.

Underkanter... you should seriously lose your ability to post after suggesting that trade. No way the Twolves trade K Love for that crap. I do think they will end up dealing him ala Deron Williams style but this is how to do it:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=ad4tgqp With this trade Brooklyn throws in 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders. LA throws in 1 first and 2 second rounders. ALL to Minnesota.
All teams win.

If they were going to deal Love, they could get infinitely better value for him, in my opinion.

Talking isn't always what it seems. I mean they got guys making offers all the time. Maybe not with us, but they do talks all the time from what I read. If it was a meeting and not a phone call it probably meant some serious bidders.
Derrick Williams is probably a nice young guy to pick up, espeically to replace Millsap, but it would be better to find a 3rd big guy to play next to Kanter and Favors, not replace Favors spot.
I am just to much into Favors to replace Millsap not another PF, and I really like Favors playing a C, but with Kanter I like him playing a PF.

*For the record, if you have seen a Wet Seal get on a rock, they are way relax and know how to absorb the heat.

Are you suggesting that because of a few rumors, the Wolves should hastily trade Kevin Love in a thoughtless, reactionary deal that brings them absolute crap in return?

turrible, turrible turrible....it is bad for the internet to suggest one sided, bad trades.
DWilliams is good., he is the former 2nd pick before Kanter......Minny would be nuts to trade him for Milsap straight up......add in a crappy deal to match salaries? add a late pick?
