Giving Marvin his 20-30 mins still, but mostly with the 2nd unit, would this group better suit his playing style and skills? I wonder if going through Al primarily, and then relying on a dumpout many times to a spot up shooter for a quick shot hurts him, and perhaps nearly everyone else other than Foye.

I would either bring DMC to the first unit for hustle and defense, and/or Hayward to see how he plays with starting SFs or even SGs. When Mo comes back, it frees Burks to play backup SG.

Maybe in the d league he would do ok pretty big disappointment in season so far. Maybe Corbin is just hurting his development.

Marvin is just a terrible player, moving him won't help at all.

I think we could do without him. There are plenty of FA's for a better price that we can bring in, not that we need any starter or bench SF with him gone.

Marvin is another example of an extremely talented player, who falls way short of his potential. He just doesn't seem to have the drive to get better. There is a difference between a player like Carroll, who knows his role, and plays it to perfection. He also shows the willingness to get better, and does whatever possible to help the team. Marvin is like the exact opposite of that. It's like he doesn't really care that he's basically non-existing on the court.

What is weird that Marvin has the ability to do what Carroll does but better, but it only shines through for about 2 seconds once a week. While Carroll's inability to do everything is only seen for about 2 seconds once a week.

I rather have Carroll at starter than Marvin. Its simple, play a junkyard dog, or a poodle who is afraid to get his paws dirty and wet.

Yes, he would do much better with the Lone Peak 2nd unit.

Seriously though, this guy has been such a huge disappointment to me. I was excited for him, and thought a change of scenery would be what he needed. Sadly, I think he lacks the motor to play hard like Carroll and will never have that next gear. He has the body and the skills to be elite, so it's hard to watch him waste that. It's even harder to watch coming from a 6' nothing 270 lb fat white guy that can only dunk french dip sammiches.

Oh well.

+1, Marvin is wasted potential. Stick a blue collar player's attitude in him, and you got yourself an all-star.

Marvin is listed as one of the top ten worst 2nd overall picks of all time.

Honestly Marvin is averaging the same numbers he did in ATL, give or take a couple, so I don't know if was all that good before we got him. I mean last season I don't think he was that good. I just think we expected more than we should have....then again, when you trade your Main PG, you expect the dude to be worth it......

I mean Evans is better than him, not to mention Carroll, let alone Hayward.

Are you kidding? Marv was one of the major sparks of the game against the Bobcats, along with Watson!

It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start.

Marvins defense is good I will admit that, and on this team our offense starts on defense. I think his experience is the only thing that keeps him from being a bench player.

Marvin Williams' skill level is abysmal, I'm not sure changing the level of competition will help.

He couldn't play worse! Actually I think thats a good Idea as long as Favors Starts.Marvin's spots, besides his threes are generally where Favors goes to work. Anybody else Impressed with Favors Left hand?

I don't see that, his jumper is extremely inaccurate and his ball handling skills are nearly nonexistent. Effort would help, but he basically can't do anything well on a basketball court anymore.
