http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... th-NuggetsPossible target this offseason?
What kind of deal Jazz could offer?
Would he accept something like 4year/$40M?
2 words before reply: leadership and defense.

if he'll opt out, it will likely be in order to sign another long term contract with the nuggets.
either way, i wouldn't want him. the only way i'd like him is if he had a much smaller contract than what he will realistically get.

Iggy will sign only big long term deal. Not good for young Jazz team. And I think Utah has no need in other wing with on-ball mentality.

There are a nice set of FA's this off season, and I am sure Jazz are likely to sign some of theirs back, I consider Marvin 1 more year to be an asset, and getting Foye and Carroll back would also keep some continuity with some decent players for at least next year.
I just don't see how were going to keep any big contracts past next year. I want some vet's on the team but I want that tier 2 and 3 talent like Marvin who can be like a bench filler, like Vince Carter, Andre Miller, JR Smith etc.
I think Tinsley is the best option for 3rd string back up, he is just a great overall deal. I just think for the big men, you better have great price/performance cause we already got 2 gems who need 1 more in rotation, and were likely to get that 3rd in the draft.

I hate the minimum salary requirement. I think we're ending up with a couple of bad contracts this summer that will hold us down over the next few years.

Teams don't actually have to spend up to the minimum on player contracts. They can spend as little as they want, they just have to pay the balance (the difference between their payroll and the minimum payroll) to their players at the end of the season.

This could be good news for the Nuggets. He hasn't been a huge upgrade over Afflalo. They need to move McGee too.
