The Thunder need to upgrade their center position badly, and Jackson is looking like a capable starter at pg. So Westbrook is obviously the most valuable trade asset left since obviously Durant isn't going anywhere. I'm high on Kanter and feel like he would be a good fit at center for OKC.

As Jazz fans, would you do Westbrook and OKC pick for Kanter, Hayward, Williams (if he opts in) and #14?

I included Williams since with his contract, the salaries match up almost perfectly. So Utah would have a core of Westbrook, Burks, Favors, gs state pick with over 30 million in cap space. Westbrook would obviously attract free agents that normally wouldn't want to play on a rebuilding team.

I don't know about everyone else one here, but I am not big on Westbrook. No reason he should be taking more shots a game than KD. So, I say no.

Given how established Westbrook is, that's certainly not a deal to balk at, but I have to play the "head case" card here and decline.

I'd do this in a heartbeat. I'm not the biggest Westbrook fan, but he's a top 15 player in the league. You can't pass that up.

Kanter AND Hayward AND 14? For a guy that'd probably be really unhappy with the trade? It's not the worst offer I've seen, but no for me.

Doesn't he torture us enough on watching him on national tv?

With that said, I've been wanting the thunder to trade him since he got in the league. He's a cancer to that team, durant and the NBA. The thunder do need another big scorer but not him. So I hope the thunder do find a taker but please not the Jazz. I can't take 82 + games of Mo Williams on Steriods.

Westbrook is MVP talent and better than Dwayne Wade. He's also insanely dedicated. He has a big ego, but he's not a prima-donna douche.

It wouldn't be a popular move but honestly think it would make them a better team. But that's because I think Kanter is going to be one of the better centers in the league within a couple years.

I'd trade Favors and Hayward, #14 for Westbrook honestly.

Westbrook is a fringe top 5, for sure top 10 player in the league. I'll take that over the ceilings of Favors & Hayward.

OKC would probably want Kanter since he has a much better offensive game.

Anyone who says no to this doesn't know what they're talking about. I'd hate to see Enes and Gordo leave, but Westbrook is a transcendent talent. Arguably the best athlete in the history of the NBA. He's not a true PG and he's not terribly efficient right now, but he brings an element to your team that you just can't find anywhere else. He's not the type of player that I typically fall for. But I think he can become an more efficient player, and he's one of the most hard working, competitive guys you'll ever find. Him and Favors on the pick and roll would be deadly, and we could put more shooters around them.

Its a hard trade to swallow, but if you get a chance to get a top 10 talent, you do it. No questions asked. The only way you say no is if you're convinced that Kanter is going to be an All NBA center.

I think he is a chucker of the first order. I also think Kanter will be an all star center.

Love Kanter and I like Hayward, but I would make this trade for reasons outlined by erudite.

I like the fire WB plays with and he is a true leader IMO. We need one that is vocal and focused like him.

I think its a win win for both teams as we get WB and they get an up and coming stud center and Hayward to assume the 6th man role.

The nice thing about Westbrook being such a top talent in OKC is that he's going to eventually get sick of people not realizing his value. Durant is top 3, Westbrook is top 5. You give up anything on the Jazz roster and then replace with free agents who want to play with top talent.

He is a great player, but I think if they reach their potential it's too much to give for Rusell.
I mean, he looks great alongside KD, but we don't have KD.
It's like Durant... he seemed not so dangerous without Russell.

No one else has a bad contract so it's wide open. Mega-stars can be picky about going to a particular market but not 2nd stars and role players. I think Westbrook is a first tier star. The Jazz can't take a risk like Dwight Howard in a trade but if a star on that level is under contract for a while then it's certainly worth going for it.
