Lionel Hollins Available?

Post#1 » by Luigi » Mon Jun 3, 2013 1:32 am

I would love to get his grind house mentality for the Jazz. After seeing Memphis and Indiana have playoff success without much more than defense, bigs, and team ball, I think that's the model we should shoot for.

I'm giving up on the OKC model. We haven't drafted, and won't draft, anyone even as good as their third player. We need to go big, defense, team ball like Memphis and Indiana did.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Jazz aren't bouncing Corbin. We can wish until the cows come home. Especially if they haven't already. And why Hollins would pick a worse situation is beyond me. Corbin will be our coach next year and I don't think anyone here would be surprised if he gets extended. It's the jazz way. Loyalty to coaches above all else.

I'd rather have George Karl. Dude did awesome work in Denver!

Is that sarcasm? Because I think George Karl is insanely overrated.

The Denver model is another good one for us to emulate.

I don't know how I feel about Karl, and I doubt he's leaving, but I like the idea of getting some personnel from Denver, Indiana, Memphis into our office. They've shown the way that we must build!
