That Demarre deal would have been great for us. He can the play the 4 and run. We'd also get the pick, which is the real prize. We aren't doing anything else with our money.

I'm not sure this will happen, but it seems like they are doing what I imagined being best course of action at this point - save the money for next year. I expect us to get a backup forward(3/4) on a 1 year deal, but I don't expect fireworks.

Carroll would have been fine imo. 2 more years right? I don't expect the Jazz to be use thei money for anything but salary dumps in the next 1-2 seasons.

At worst you buy him out next year and use the stretch provision to smooth his salary over a few years.

The cap will be flattened at that point as well. Demarre's expiring could be seen an asset.

Dennis SMith is looking every bit the player I expected him to be. He will be a really good player in the league... if he stays healthy. Has the potential to be the best player in this draft.

He looks VERY talented, but I think he is at risk of being an inefficient scorer. Hopefully he listens to what Carlise has to say.

Smith looks great but I think Bam has looked like the top rookie so far. I still can't believe gm's couldn't see what he brought to the table. He should have been a top 5 pick.

If SL is any indication, this is going to go down as a very strong draft.

KCP to LAL for a 1 year deal. This is good for the Jazz - he will be UFA next year and will probably take away 1 of the Hood suitors before RFA sheets even start falling.

Looks like Melo trade is getting serious. Boris may be worth something.

I hope Ingles does wear Haywards jersey number. Not out spite or the salt in my blood, but for a good laugh and to remember at the end of the day it's basketball and not something to get to worked up about. But I still have a ton of salt pumping through me.

Anyone knows any details about Jonathon Simmons' contract?

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Yeah... I think I would have preferred this deal than Sefolosha...

That's a very good deal. Would much rather have him than any of our recent signings.

I'm fine with Thabo, but I would've liked to get Simmons for that price too.

This makes the Ingle contract look even worse.
