Middleton is also one of the most prolific mid range scoring wings in the league....

I like Lonnie Walker... he's one of my favorite realistic targets at the moment:

Read on Twitter

He's athletic and he also shoots an easy ball. Similar to Mitchell this way ... it's smooth and beautiful release.

Trae has the effect of pulling defenders out on the floor beyond the 3-pt line. Sometimes two defenders trying to trap him. It's that gravity Steph Curry has that really makes the Ws work. I just worry about Trae's size and being a liability on the defensive end. He's about like Tyus Jones, who has never been more than a backup.

I'm interested to see where he gets drafted. Seems like he'll go top 15 if he keeps this up.

Top 5: Doncic, Bagley, Ayton, Porter, Bamba (lets say)
Next 5: Jackson, Sexton, Knox, Mikal Bridges, Williams
Next 5: Carter, Miles Bridges, Musa, Trae, one of the Miami guys...

Rodions Kurucs is the guy. Release on his jumpee reminds me so much of the quick easy release of Klay Thompson. Plus he is long, athletic, and can defend. I vote for him from 11-20 wherever we pick.

Kurucs probably gets picked somewhere between 11 and 20 in the second round.

If you think that thats fine. MITCHELL WASNT SUPPOSED TO GET DRAFTED. NEITHER was kuzma this early in the game. I just see something in his game that is perfectly made for the pro game.

Its his quick release, his vertical and side to side athleticism. His first step. He is such a fluid athlete. I see tons of Klay Thompson in him. But longer and maybe even more athletic.

Naw, he'll be a late first round pick.

The end of the first round this year is wide open. Guys like him that have good upside will get taken there.

If Kurucs is healthy and works out well, he'll probably go late first round, but it wouldn't surprise me if he slipped to the 2nd round either.

He was projected as a late 1st rounder in last years loaded draft. This draft is far more shallow, especially in the late 1st. Can't imagine, barring major injury concerns, that he's drafted outside the 1st round.

The skill and vision and the shot are unreal. I want to see him more against NBA level defenders but he's forcing his way into top 5-10 discussion.

I’ve got to watch a full game of his sometime. The numbers he’s putting up are unreal, I have to see how he does it.

He has a bit of what Curry has - the very threat of his shot allows him to do thing that others quicker players can't do. And that's true even when he's dribbling 30 feet away from the basket... opponents are just on edge and expecting him to pull up from anywhere and they overplay him sometimes and he has the shiftiness and skill to blow past them when they do come too close. He's also showing some advanced dribble moves. You can see him pull the shamgod in one of the videos above... he actually did it twice - once he pulled up after it and drained a 25 footer and the next time he blew past his defender to finish a layup at the rim. The fact that he has great vision and passing and very good feel and timing to catch the help defense in no mans land is also amazing to watch. He plays with supreme confidence right now too. This is understandable when you are averaging 29pts and 10ast as a freshman on pretty good %. It just looks so easy for him...

A 20-20 game of points and assists, in college? Holy crap.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Thats bananas. The all mighty college question. Does he lack athleticism? I'll have to watch later but that's so important to how how I personally evaluate guys now. It's why I liked Donovan and not Fultz. If Trae has elite speed he could be the new Nash/Stockton.

Incidentally his favorite player seems to have been Steve Nash. I wouldn't call him conventionally athletic, but he has a bit of a shiftiness and burst... I want to see him against better defenders.
