Also, have I told you that I like Oubre?

Oubre was my guy that draft!

Nothing except the contracts. Got to love NBA's guaranteed contracts.

The first general thing which I'd point out about this season is
"surprisingly weak West";

and as complementary (and may be even a cause) for that
"naturally bad performance of myOffenceFirst stars aggregated in shiny but incongruous bumps"

The Philadelphia 76ers are nearing an agreement to trade Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas and the New York Knicks' 2019 second round pick to the Brooklyn Nets and Trevor Booker.

Brooklyn will release Sean Kilpatrick to create a roster spot for Okafor and Stauskas.

The Nets have now acquired two of the top-3 picks of the 2015 draft in Okafor and D'Angelo Russell.

Wow, talk about low value. I really like Booker, but the 76ers are essentially paying the Nets to take Okafor. Hope Trevor works out well in his new home.

If Booker can return Okafor + Stauskas + a second rounder, don't dare tell me Favors is not worth at least a mid-first.

Brilliant move by Brooklyn. Considering the crappy situation the GM had when he took over he has done a fantastic job.

Good read here on Luke Walton and his coaching style. It is a combination of a hippie Dad HOF'er, Phil Jackson as his coach and Steve Kerr as his coaching mentor. I reflexively "hate" the Lakers from the old Jazz v Laker days, and Lavar Ball is deplorable, but there isn't much not to like about Luke. Definitely an upcoming NBA coach.

The Wolves are so puzzling to me. Thibs is not nearly as good of a coach as I thought he was. Embiid truly is a master of being an antagonist.

My favorite player in some time. The NBA is so much more fun with him playing.

Trey Lyles is actually looking like an NBA player this month in heavy minutes with Sap out. On the season he is shooting .492 on 3's
and this month is he averaging 14 pts, 6 reb in 26 mpg shooting .556 from 3. His rebounding was trash with the Jazz. Hopefully he is finding a fit with the Nuggs.

Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers to a win over the red hot Rockets last night with a career high 38 points on 17 attempts.

The 76ers have lost every game that Embiid has sat out except one game. And unfortunately, the Utah Jazz have that ignominious distinction of being the team that gave the Embiidless 76ers that one game. :(

Bill Simmons is so passe. Pay him no mind, he is relevant no longer.

He said he doesn't want to trade for AD anymore cuz Celtics are building something awesome. He also said Donovan Mitchell is future 7 time all-star.

I would disagree with both. 7 is too few.
