The 2 best Eastern Conference Centers ,Drummond and Embiid just got outplayed by Kanter.

53 pts and 38 rebounds combined by Kanter against Drummond and Embiid in back to back games ....who the hell said Kanter can't play.... your bias makes you look dumb, but then I already said that.

I don’t know what’s worse. Inside the NBA guys talking about analytics, or NBA twitter complaining about them talking about analytics.

LMAO

Knicks lost both games.

It seems he's still living up to the Booker quote about getting his numbers and also getting the L.

That is a shortsighted way to look at it. When he was on the court the Knicks were the better team. The Knicks bench is who lost both games.

Don’t look now, but Mario is starting and not playing terribly. He should definitely be a FA target this summer.

It's not just 2 games we're talking about here. There's a reason why Enes becomes unplayable in the playoffs. Good teams will exploit him all day defensively, to the point his scoring/rebounding doesn't offset his liability.

I still remember that thread last year claiming Kanter was a better NBA player than Favors. A few months later, Favors was coming up big in a game 7 playoff win, while Kanter was glued to the bench for his team. No matter how much some people are impressed by his scoring/rebounding, Kanter is still the same player he has been for years. Once the knicks figure that out, Kanter will be traded or allowed to walk in FA.

All of our Utes are killing it! Poeltl, Wright, and Kuzma are all good. Wish the first two got more PT.

Knicks want to sign Trey Burke:

"I still believe that I am one of the best scorers in the world, and that has to be my mentality," Burke recently told NBA.com.

Yikes, someone has been listening to his mommy and daddy a bit too much. ;)

Treyd no longer blames the Jazz.

Good for him. Hopefully he fired his dad as his agent. That would also help him reach his potential.

Articles like that remind me of how much a gamble the draft can be. Okafor, Winslow, Stanley Johnson were all very much hyped coming out of college and top 10 draft picks, but all have been bums in the NBA.

Anybody notice that Kanter has been unplayable in 4th quarters for the knicks? I didn't catch the 4th tonight, but I watched both OTs and Kanter's ass was glued to the bench. Kinda weird that he doesn't play during times when it matters most.

Edit: Just found this.

https://nypost.com/2018/01/10/enes-kanter-baffled-at-knicks-weird-use-of-him/[/quote]

Enes Kanter isn’t complaining, but he’s also wondering why he and the fourth quarter don’t mix anymore, calling it “weird” — a word he used four times.

For five straight games entering the Bulls contest Wednesday, Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek has pinned the starting center to the bench the entire fourth quarter. In Miami on Friday, Kanter sat both the fourth quarter and all of overtime.

Kanter’s minutes are down to 25 per game, but he’s still averaging a double-double (13.4 points, 10.1 rebounds) as one of the first half’s surprises, becoming one of the league’s premier offensive rebounders.

It’s all a function of the Knicks’ center glut — and the notion Kyle O’Quinn continues to excel as Kanter’s backup. O’Quinn has consumed a lot of the fourth-quarter minutes. The non-center tandem of Kristaps Porzingis and Michael Beasley also has been used to close.

“I don’t know why,’’ Kanter said. “What’d [Hornacek] say? I have no idea why. I guess it’s a little weird.I have no idea. I look at the coach. He look at me. OK? I’ll sit on the bench.’’

 :rofl2:

Treyd no longer blames the Jazz.

Lol.
I can look back and I can say that it was me rather than them because I changed the way I played for the way they wanted me to play. That should never happen."

Pretty funny when someone pretends to take responsibilty for their troubles and yet somehow still find a way to blame it on someone else.

Doc Rivers is doing a pretty darn impressive job of keeping the Clippers competitive this season considering he lost CP3 in the summer, then lost replacements Beverley and Gallo and then lost many injury games for Teo and Griffin. Three fifths of the Clips' starting lineup has been out much of the season, but the Clips are still very much in contention to grab a playoff spot.

Milos Teodosic, someone that got a lot of talk around here, is off to a pretty rough start on his NBA career. His shooting percentage has been surprisingly bad, but due to injuries, he's only played in 14 games. He might still get it going the second half of the season.

His importance extends beyond his stats. The team is doing much better in the W-L columns when he plays.

The Pistons are reportedly the one of the most active teams on the trade market so far, and Stanley Johnson is one piece they are willing to move. I wonder what their asking price is.

I’d move Thabo for him, especially if Quin is going to keep playing Joe instead.

I also don’t know what exactly they’d be looking for, but if Stan is desperate to win now (as woj said) it makes some sense for them.

Agreed. No picks, but if we can use one of the players DL signed to a 1+1 deal, it should be worth it to see what he can do. Jazz should be looking to get young talent on the cheap and see what we can do with it\them.
