This surprises me but maybe it shouldn't. Sefo has been acting as a player-coach since his injury - wonder how this will affect that role now? My guess all along was he saw the writing on the wall that at his age he was not coming back from his injury the defensive beast he was so why not try to get involved with some coaching? Consistent rumors suggest plenty of players smoke the medicine - how did these two dudes get caught? Do they random pee test in the NBA?

Yes. From what I have read before players get a few warnings before suspensions or fines so there is a chance he tested positive before.

I hope not, he's a bargain at that price. I don't imagine Snyder, the ex-coke hound is taking any of this stuff seriously, actually nobody save for the Mormon faithful in this new era of cannabis acceptance. What's the timeline on the injury? He's an upgrade over O'Neale.

That would be THREE warnings for testing positive before the hammer. Pretty stupid of Thabo to be playing with that, er, fire. I mean really, plenty of time to burn one down in the off-season. I forget that even though he is an "old" NBA player he's still a young man who is gonna do some stupid things. I could care less that he smokes - but if he wants to be a leader/coach he can't do dumb stuff like that. He needs to chat with Q on how one properly buries the bodies! :lol:

WTF is he getting tested when he's out for the year? Do they really care if he's smoking when he can't play a game? Also, it's freaking weed. It's recreational where 8 teams play, be a little more lenient about it. Like obviously penalize a player who shows up to drunk or high to practice or a game, but on his time off? Who cares, much less in Thabo's situation.
