Great game by Favors, Mitchell, Rubio, Gobert and Snyder.

Solid game by Jonas, and I think Ingles was solid defensively.

Take a look at how Paul George played tonight and tell me that Ingles should be sitting.

But he didn't score any points!

PG going 6-20 while being velcro'd to Ingles (creating spacing) is good enough for me. +21 For good measure as well.

By the way... Ingles has biggest +- at +21... poossibly had to do something right sometimes... at least more than Crowder, who got -14.

Wow....Big time Rookie DM tonight. Rookie is amazing. When he started taking the ball to the hole. Was killing OKC. Setting for 3s almost lost this one.

Playing with four other players who made shots. Hate that stat.

Mission step one accomplished. On to step 2.
Step 1. Steal atleast one of the first 2 games in OKC.
Step 2. Take care of home court
Step 3. Finish round one of the playoffs.
Step 4. Rinse and Repeat until you hold the trophy.

Damn if you are the Jazz after playing a HORRENDOUS 3rd quarter and PG going Super Saiyan in the game 1 you gotta feel AMAZING going home with the split!

Joe has to look for his shot. Gotta. That pisses me off when he's not even thinking shot. D isn't the problem.

The biggest bummer is Mitchell is only scoring 26.5 ppg in his first two playoff games. I remember when Haywood did that (HAH!). Seriously. That 7-0 run he went on was ridiculous - he changed the closing trajectory. I'm not religious but I believe in DM. Just crazy. No way this looked like this during Game 1 2017-18 season. Jazz fans are watching the most exciting development in 20 years.

He also provides spacing and actual defense. Ingles did what he could against PG. If the matchup continues to go the way it did tonight, that is a huge win for us.

He was not especially efficient tonight. Max one notch above his average middle season games. 0-7 from 3p also... Really don't understand that hype. Pretty good player - yes. But savior of Jazz and best thing after invention of 3-blade razor...hm-mm...

And of course leading scorers not named Jordan making less that quarter of team points - that is not a biggest bummer, that is a significant advantage. Of course if goal is to win games, not to sell T-shirts.

Not being a total dick, but I thought about the tank wars on this board earlier in the season and not taking a victory lap, but this here is why a tank concept was premature when it was popular among some. 1-1 first round, going home with home court advantage. These are the facts. And DM was that much. And Q and the development staff was that good. And RR was more than salvageable. OKC could easily beat the Jazz in the first round still. But game on. Until it is over, the Jazz are a serious playoff team again.

I don't like tanking and I wasn't in favor of it, but that's because I am largely happy with teams that make the playoffs and win a series or 2 even if we aren't real contenders. But the argument that the people made for tanking aren't shaken by how this series is going, we really aren't championship contenders. And it's totally possible that by tanking we could've put ourselves in a better position to win a Championship in years to come. But I tend to like the approach of getting our guys playoff experience and maybe the stars align and with injuries we get lucky and make a good run.

Ingles was trash on offense that much we can agree on.^ Not only did he pass up shots including a wide open lay up, but he totally choked on some pretty routine plays, including a late pick and roll. Hopefully he relaxes a little bit at home and is able to do his thing again. Snyder called a smart game tonight and put the ball in the right hands down the stretch - Mitchell and Rubio. Aside from that, as Mitchell said "Favs played his ass off tonight", and I thought Gobert did a great job down low as well. And how about our bench tonight, particularly O'Neale and Jerebko ?
"But if you want to win, you have to teach a player how to win. That's why I don't believe in tanking, all that stuff. You don't learn how to win by losing on purpose to get a 19-year-old who you've never seen." -Rudy Gobert, 2017/18 Season

I respect this view but also disagree. Per Gobert (paraphrase), " You don't learn how to win by losing to move up on a position to draft another unknown 19-year old." A team learns how to win by making the playoffs with a bullet.
