2018 Draft Night Thread

This is a thread for the actual draft, where we follow pick by pick and discuss what happens (picks, trades, commentary, cursing of ancient gods) during and immediately after the draft.

This thread is locked for now. It will be opened on draft day, so no need to open any new threads for draft day, and it is posted now so everyone will have a heads-up so we can avoid multiple threads on draft day, which will probably get locked to avoid clutter and thread splitting.

By the way, I LOVE that the picks will be kept secret until they are actually announced. In the past, the draft show was pretty much worthless, as you refreshed a handful of twitter feeds to get the picks and trades in advance.

I just hope they at least give us the trades before the commish decides to announce them(30 minutes after)...

Yes, it's just ESPN, so if you want your spoilers a few minutes early, the'll still be available.

Yup, I read that the trades aren't off-limits, so we'll still hear those in advance.

Way too much Grayson Allen talk on the radio this morning for my liking. Especially coming from Locke on DJ and PK.

I am going to guess he’s our pick, Tony has been talking about how great he would be for two years now and Locke is now on that bandwagon.

Im a dukie so I love Grayson but i think he slides by us. Too many SG's/SF's stock has risen which means some guys slide. For what its worth Gary Trent Jr is a flat out shooter, deadly. Would prefer him

I think the announcers will give us the trades. Like last year they announced the trade by the time Mitchell was going for his on-stage interview after he was drafted(like 20 seconds after the pick was announced).

Only if someone we are really in love with is there that wouldn't otherwise be available. That would cut into our 2019 cap space.
