Must win game, Clippers are crumbling and will soon fall out of top 8.

Playing them short-handed in LA will be the litmus test for how good this triage unit really is without its' corps of point guards. They may be slumping of late but still a very scary team with a terrific second unit and a great coach.
"But if you want to win, you have to teach a player how to win. That's why I don't believe in tanking, all that stuff. You don't learn how to win by losing on purpose to get a 19-year-old who you've never seen." -Rudy Gobert, 2017/18 Season

Super worried we come out flat. It'll be our 6th game in 10 days, and guys have been burning a lot of energy due to being short handed.

This has all the makings of a let down game. However if the Jazz want to really make a push in the playoff race they need to find a way to win this.

If one takes into account that current Lakers are not those Lakers, which were in playoff picture, the last win over playoff team was over Trail Blazers, Dec 25 (by the way it's my birthday). It would be very nice to get one more such win any time soon...

It would be especially nice to get that one, as, with all that recent hype, shorthanded Jazz just got close tough victories at home and against some weakest squads. "Nice" means actually "nice, but if not - world will not end here".

technically magic and pistons were playoff teams when we beat them. (under 50% win-lose, but playoff teams)

As long as the Clippers don't start their 3rd stringers we have a shot 8-)

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I would like to see Quin start Korver or Allen instead of O’Neale tonight. The Clippers don’t have anyone for him to guard in their starting lineup. Lou is their main perimeter threat, if O’Neale is here for defense we should align minutes.

Though that may end up even worse because Lou’s flopping will probably be very successful against O’Neale’s over aggressive defense.

Me-eh, East! But actually I kind of agree, those are not tanking teams and on good day can give trouble to anybody. That's NBA for us and we like it for that.

I like this, but if Korver starts and O'Neale comes off the bench we have no bench scoring. It's basically Crowder and Favors as our scoring threats. :-?

Fair. Korver and Ingles are the two players that must be on the floor whenever Mitchell is off. I'd go with Allen.

Korver should come from the bench.

Gobert is dominating the paint right now.

In college Allen could bully ball himself to the rim. In the pros he can't do that and just misses floaters instead.

That lineup of Ingles, Allen, Favors, Niang played like ass.
