Disappointed our PG's keep getting injured. You can't plan for it, but it seems like we have all 2 or 3 out a lot this year. Probably not as much as it seems but man.

It is every bit as much as it seems. Neto and Exum are made of glass.dr0welf wrote:Disappointed our PG's keep getting injured. You can't plan for it, but it seems like we have all 2 or 3 out a lot this year. Probably not as much as it seems but man.

Cant say I’m surprised. Really uninspired effort tonight, especially on he defensive end.

Frustrating loss. Seem like all our shots that could have bounced in managed to bounce out while theirs bounced in. Beyond that I don't think we were too bad with the exception of our complete inability to defend the paint which was somewhat to be expected given no guards to defend Conley and Gobert and Favors having off games. Rudy especially has looked completely off to me defensively since the all star break although I've missed some games so maybe just a case of only seeing his bad games. Still I feel like when he is getting a tough whistle or playing against a physical big he goes back into his shell when he should be trying to match them, live with the foul trouble and back Favors in if you do pick up a few but don't give them into your head and disrupt your game.

The sad truth is that Memphis grizzlies team is simply better than our team. Jonas totally dominated Gobert. Rabb (who the hell is Rabb!?) totally dominated Favors. Ingles and Korver got torched all night by the guardline. Gobert has become just another player...totally a non-factor. He seems to have cared more about making the farce ASG than about our season.

JV generally plays well against Gobert. And combining JV with resurrected former DPOY Joakim Noah, Memphis set the tone early in the paint, limiting the Gobert-Favors front line to its worst, combined offensive performance of the season. And yes Rabb came out of nowhere to be a big contributor.

We missed Ricky Rubio, but I also found myself frequently fantasizing about how much better our team would look with Mike Conley running the point.

This team is so inconsistent. We cannot afford to be missing any guards anymore. For as mediocre as Rubio has been this season, he's much better than the likes of Grayson Allen and it shows on the floor. We are not taking advantage of the opportunity given to us and we might end up without a home court advantage series.

The Jazz should change their mascot to a trapezoid. Call him Trappy the trapezoid (or Zoidberg ...).
To be fair, the Grizzlies played well but the Jazz played to right into their hands and walked into their... ahem...trap with all those 3s. The Jazz aren't the Rockets--48 threes is way too much. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a new franchise record for most threes attempted in a game by the Jazz.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.
