Re: Playoffs scenarios
We can only hope that Harden's 3 point shot looks as bad as it did last playoffs.
I hate Denver and their scheming. I hate Houston and their flopping. The whole first round in the West became nearly worthless with the Kings complete 4th quarter failure.

In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Watching Harden and Paul for a week is going to be torture.

Re: Playoffs scenarios
Can't blame Denver, Portland or OKC on this one for the seeding. We did it to ourselves Jazz missed alot of close games this year just part of being a young team they'll learn from it though. The schedule really screwed us this year AGAIN! I don't know if you all agree but I really think the Jazz not wanting to play on Sunday's during the regular season really hurts their scheduling. Looking forward to this Houston series I think I'm in the minority wanting to face them in the first round. Jazz are healthy this time around and added Korver which will make a big difference in this series with his spacing I really like the Jazz in this series.

Re: Playoffs scenarios
We either should have won a few more close games, of had the sense lose a few more close games
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Re: Playoffs scenarios
Some things to consider as far as strategy:
- The biggest weakness of the Jazz offense is turnovers.
- The biggest strength of the Rockets defense is creating turnover.
- Weakest part of the Rockets defense is defensive rebounding.
- The Jazz voluteerly opt out of offensive rebounding, but could be the best if they wanted to. They want to prevent transition buckets the other way.
- The Rockets do not run.
If I’m Quin, I’m instructing Mitchell, Rubio, and Ingles to chuck freely. Do not try to force passes. We’re sending the bigs to the glass to catch your misses. We auto lose the game if they are not willing to chuck.

The real question is - do we start with Favors or with Crowder game 1?

If the plan is to tuck away Favs in a corner and never have him crash the glass, there is no point to playing him at PF.
I wonder how many minutes we can get away with Korver. I don’t mind having him guard Tucker...but they will target him nonetheless.

I forgot the Rockets have Jazz killer Austin Rivers coming off the bench. He always seems to play especially well against us.

Re: Playoffs scenarios
How would you guys align the matchups? Obviously HOU will try to pick and choose the matchup with switching...but here’s what I have:
Harden - Rubio
Paul - Ingles
Gordon - Mitchell
Harden - Rubio
Paul - Ingles
Gordon - Mitchell

Re: Playoffs scenarios
I'm not sure Ingles can stay in front of CP3.
Then again, Ingles metamorphoses into some type of super defensive player in the post season, so who knows. Like the effect spinach has with Popeye, the playoffs do the same with Ingles.

Me neither, but it’s about who can contest from behind.
Oh man this is a tough matchup lol.

Really wish we had Exum's defense for this series. It would have helped.
Too bad the Rockets didn't hold onto Melo. Jazz could have really used him this series.

Play him every minute harden is off the court.
