Jones says the plan is not to play Bojan at the 4. Ingles will finish at the 4 and come off the bench. Still looking for a starting 4.

But that was before the Ed Davis news. But Jones also said the Davis plan is at the 5.

We have a Jae Crowder hole.

Honestly to be fair I think lineup decisions is coaches job not some Knicks fan that highlights as a Jazz broadcaster. If Quinn thinks Davis/Gobert can play a few minutes together because of the matchup then it will happen.

And don't sleep on Willie Reed. He got injured last year in the G-League but he might get his opportunity to shine in summer league and make the team. And he has a big body, seals his defenders well, good hands on the catch, and soft shots. He might be a surprise to some.

That's fair.

I'll miss Favors even more if we see a lot of Ed Davis at 4. Favors is lightyears ahead of Davis on offense. And I would have loved to see him pick and roll with Conley, and enjoy the space of having a point guard with a 3 point shot.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

He would. The only trade that seems to work is Niang+Bradley+Neto+O'neale. So, does Grant lead to more wins than O'neale? I think he might.

I would say we could keep O’Neale and S&T one of our 2nd round picks.

Doesn't work salary wise and then there is no incentive for OKC.

It still doesn't work salary wise and that's not enough incentive for OKC, you don't get good starters on cheap contracts for free.

Listening to the SLC podcast. Bojan is something like 58% from the right corner and Ingles is over 50% from the left corner. Players can never leave those guys now. There will be NO help defense coming. And if it does, we can make them pay. How people aren’t excited is beyond me.

Here is my little trade:

Utah out: Niang, Bradley, Neto. one of our 2nd round picks S&T, and 4 2nds.
Utah in: Jerami Grant

Brooklyn out: Jarrett Allen
Brooklyn in: Bradley, OKC future 1st, and 3 Utah 2nds

Washington out: Mahinmi, filler, and a future 2nd
Washington in: Adams

OKC out: Adams, Grant, and future 1st
OKC in: Allen, Niang, Neto, 2nd round pick S&T from Utah, Washington filler, Washington 2nd, and Utah 2nd.

OKC gets out of Adams contract while getting Allen who will be a stud for them.

Washington gets a better big man then they could hope for.

Brooklyn no longer has a need for Allen so they get picks for him.

Utah gets its starting PF.

I'd assume Brooklyn intends on keeping Allen because he is better than Jordan. If not, it doesn't make sense to break him apart into smaller assets, they should be trying to aggregate him (and probably Dinwiddie) into a better player. Also doesn't make much sense for OKC, they are sending out assets to dump starters and they don't really have assets to give. They are making a division rival better, and just adding a bunch of second round picks.

They have been trying to dump Adams already so getting Allen and expiring Mahinmi is awesome for them.

Hopefully Ingles can strike up some similar chemistry with either Green or Bogey (borderline athletically capable).

^just starting to watch/listen to this one. At about 5:30 Hart tells the story about the Utah workout that they both were in. It's interesting to hear because it's somewhat famous workout that supposedly made the Jazz fall in love with Donovan... So yeah... listen to it if you can...

You can carry up to 20 in the offseason. Cuts will start happening as you trim your roster down to 15+2. But you can send the others to the G-League.

Nets fan here, just wanted to say you've got yourself a solid player in Ed Davis. Absolutely 100% professional, great locker room presence, and on the floor he's got a top tier motor. You guys have a hell of a team and you've got one of our other former players Bojan who is a beast when his shot is on. Good luck, can't wait til our squads play each other.

Celts fan here, but love Joe Ingles, so wishing you the best...at least in most games.
Anyone able to summarise what space/exceptions you guys have left?
Great offseason, you just need a decent stopgap 4 to round things out, it seems.

Unless we do something funky with the Conley trade to try to keep us over the cap, it seems like we are out of exceptions so we down to just minimum vet contracts.
