Jazz got well constructed roster around Gobert and Mitchell. League ****! That's all for now.

This should be the best Jazz team offensively in a long time....... Defensively, with Gobert we will always be pretty good...... Can't wait for the season to start.....

Cousins with torn ACL working out in Vegas. That sucks for him. He looked like he's gotten into a great shape this summer :(

I don't watch NCAA bball much, and didn't see Zion Williamson play, but the combination of him pulling out of summer league after one game, pulling out of team USA and the fact that he is already carrying 285 lbs on a 6-7 frame, makes me a bit skeptical whether he is destined for a long, dominant career. He looks like he can power through anything, but the tremendous force on his knees, ankles, ligaments and tendons over time could easily become a problem.

Just got around to listening to the Donald Sterling 30 for 30 podcasts. It's crazy to go back and think that whole ordeal now. I recommend giving it a listen. My only gripe is that while Ramona Shelbourne did an amazing job, it is also very clearly a Ramona Shelbourne project with the same warts that plague her work. The portrayal of Shelly Sterling as a hero is ridiculous. Ramona's personal friendships are what gives her the access...but she's incredibly biased towards those same relationships.

Yep, I thought the same thing while listening. Listen to Lowe's podcast with Ramona. This is why I love Lowe, I might not agree with everything he says but you can rely on him to give you a thoughtful perspective and you know that he doesn't toe the party line and gives his own takes even when talking about some of ESPN's biggest projects. He pretty clearly challenged Ramona on that portrayal of Shelly Sterling.

FWIW the General Board poll has us with the 13th, 26th, and 27th best players in the league (Rudy, Donovan, Conley).

Personally I'd have Rudy at 9, Donovan at 24, and Conley right about where he is...but the poll actually did a pretty decent job (imo) reflecting the relative value of each player in the coming season (which is why there is no KD, Oladipo, or Klay).

Thao signed with the Rockets for one year. If he's got anything left he could really help them.

PG13 targeting November-ish return.

Jazz play the Clippers twice in that general range - October 30th and November 3d.

I think the pelicans will end up having a really special year. They should be incredible defensively and they have a ton of weapons.

Man, I wish there was some way we could have kept Favors.......

But I'm glad he's going to get an opportunity to start at the position he should have been playing.....

He's going to have a big year......

What's up with Favors? He's been getting very few minutes so far and very few shots as well. Are the Pelicans just trying to keep him healthy for the season?

He was recovering from a hamstring injury to start camp. It's possible they are load managing him. Also the fit with Zion offensively is a bit more clunky than I imagined.
