Hopefully we'll get to see the whole of the starting 5 vs the Pelicans.

Tonight left me very unsatisfied.

Jazz rested their core and their bench could not compete with Milwaukee. No significance for either team.

Bradley is pretty good against 3rd string centers.

You're hearing it here first: Bradley will be the GOAT of the SLC Stars.

Tony Bradley will always have a job because he will dominate the 3rd/4th string center. He’s bad C kryptonite.

Bradley rebounds as well as Kanter did at the same age. He can play a few minutes.

I'd like to see Brantley play with the core team. I think he's a better defender and rebounder than Niang.

Even David Locke can't spit out analytics to make the Jazz taller which I think will be a factor in the Jazz fighting for position in the 4-8 slots in the Western Conference. Jazz need Exum and Mudiay to come through to have some length in the backcourt.

Tonight Dallas started Doncic 6'7" and Delon Wright 6'5" at the guards, Houston starts Westbrook6"3" and Harden 6'5" at guards .Friday N O comes in with Ball 6'6" and Holiday 6'4" at the guards. Jazz guards are really small against virtually every elite team in the West.
Once again Jazz fanz are being told they will have elite shooters at all positions. I think every game the Jazz guards lack of height will be attacked and the opposite end will be forced off the 3 pt line and funneled to the basket.

We are very small, there's no doubt about that. Don't think Exum and Mudiay really help us there though. Mudiay is not an athlete, and Exum barely has any skill. We're talking about 8th, 9th guys on the roster here.

I wouldn't worry too much about being "small." The Jazz, without Gobert, looked small next to Milwaukee, because they play two 7-footers. The only position where we lost some height is at PG with Conley. Rubio is taller than Conley, but guys were driving by him last year. Bledsoe only lists at 6'1". He used his strength to drive on Conley last night a couple times. He didn't shoot over Conley. If we want to lock down an opposing PG, we probably have to play Exum.

Milwaukee's other guards--Wes Matthews, Donte DiVincenzo and Pat Connaughton--are 6'4" or 6'5". Mitchell could have scored over 30 pts last night if he wanted to.

The thing that's bothering me is that Ed Davis got cooked multiple times when he tried to guard outside the paint. Last year, both Favors and Udoh could guard pick and roll out on the floor pretty well, and I'm not sure if Ed Davis can do that.

Preseason always has some rough ones. Excited to see the full team play.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the media to get called out for all the offseason Ed Davis love. They were basically making him out to be Favors equal defensively and he is far from it. He is a really good rebounder but an average defender at best. Offensively he is terrible though. We would have been much better off splitting his money on Cheik Diallo, Kaminsky or throw a bigger offer at Looney.

I still think Davis is pretty similar to Favors defensively. It's tough to pin Favors defensively. With exception of last year, the defense has always fallen off a cliff when Gobert is on the bench or injured. A lot of that is health related...but I still think we somewhat overrated Favors because he's a good guy and we liked him as a person.

The Nets were very good defensively (Below league #1 rank) with Davis on the court last season, and he was not playing with good defenders. He deserves praise for that. It certainly holds more weight than a preseason game.

Never liked Davis defensively ,saw Kanters eyes light up everytime he played against Davis (Easter Conf.)and ate him up in the paint. Never saw Kanter do that to Favors. Davis is a hustler though but like his team mates not an athletic big.

I think Jazz are going to struggle against N O Pels length and athleticism next game as well and Jazz fanz will be saying the game doesn't matter as well. Though I hope Conley and Mitchell show they can excel against a talented big guard crew ,in this game Ball and Holiday.
