Game 44: Jazz (good record) - Warriors (everyone is injured)

Don't see a game thread, so here it is. Rudy looks amazing, not sure what has gotten in him the last few weeks.

And here I was, worried this could be a trap game.

Games are less fun when they're this unfair, but my stress levels are much better :)

If the Jazz can win out this month it would give us a nice cushion for second place and tie breaker chance against our biggest competition for that spot.

Its going to be tough though, especially that Denver game.

What is this feeling I'm feeling? Optimism? Hope? Encouragement? What a new and strange emotion to have with this team.

Jazz starting lineup was +21 in 14 minutes. Is that good?

Best part of this game is listening to the Warriors announcers baffled at how good Gobert is

Its crazy how underrated he is. Hope he starts to get the recognition he deserves this year. Better be an All Star, should win DPOY again (probably won't), and should have a strong argument for all NBA.

How crazy is it that we casually have Mike **** Conley as our backup PG?

Tucker, that's Bradley out on the floor with you, not Gobert. He can't jump that high.

Tucker has still not hit the rim on a 3. Just air balled another one badly.

Wasn't he hitting all kinds of 3's in the G league?

We just need to give him time, he's a wee little baby out there, but to me he looks like he has all the talent in the world.

Pretty sure he was hitting them at 38%.

I'm actually pretty encouraged by him. His shooting is off- and it does feel like its due to him over thinking and nerves- but I like his energy on defense.

Everyone should watch the way he moves with and without the ball, too. He just looks right, honestly looks like Mitchell. My only thing is that he consistently stops to think about what he is going to do, rather than just playing. I think as soon as he gets out of his own head (and part of it is likely because our system is more intricate than the stars - haven't watched them, just assuming that is the case) he will be a rotation quality player. Not saying he will be Donovan Mitchell, to be clear, but I see someone who can be a rotation player and be a poor man's DM.

Right now Tucker is invisible, but that's honestly what we need. He doesn't hurt us, just stays out of the way. We have lots of guys who want to shoot and score. I wish he had a bigger knack for making plays with his athleticism though. He gets some tough rebounds, but if he could create turnovers as well that would be a nice boost.

Watching the last three quarters now, taking the recommendation of listening to the Warriors announcers. As promised, it is hilarious. Every time Bogdanovic makes a shot it's "oh no." "Oh noooooo." "OH NO." "He destroys us, you can't leave him op...ooooh no."
