Round 1, Game 6: Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets

This has been a fun series to watch. I wonder if the Nuggets can keep up the stellar play of Jokic and Murray from the last game. They also need some more help from other players. Millsap has been very disappointing in this series, for one.

This is a bit reminiscence of the okc series in 2018. We had them in game 5 and we let them to win the game. Then finished in game 6.
I hope we can do it another time.
If he is able to do it, there's a nice compliment to Quin. 3 semifinals in 4 years it's not bad at all being a tema not stacked as LA teams, Rockets or GSW last years.

Even though they didn't win game 5, the lessons learned will be used to take another step forward. That game was a bit too much like so much of the season with some hero ball and not as much blender action for extended periods of time. Oh, and Murray went ballistic!

I moved the discussion about boycotting the game to the 'Around the NBA, Season 2019-2020' thread. I thought it was more appropriate to discuss it there since this is a league-wide issue.

The story from ESPN's Woj this morning says the players have decided to resume the games, but it is still unclear when this Jazz game six will be played.

Game is Sunday. It's good to get the first group of games out of the way and not be the 10 AM game right after all this I suppose.

Hopefully will have an impact enough to force a game 7

I predicted the Jazz would win this series in 6 games. I expected it to be a typical Quin Snyder series, similar to the Clippers and Thunder in years past. It's been close to a week since the last game, so I'm not sure who that would give an advantage to, if anyone.
I'm interested to see what players' mindsets are like with everything going on.
The Jazz were up in the 3rd quarter of Game 5 at 71-56, and they lost their focus somewhat. Hopefully, they've learned from that experience and close out the series. If it's close in the last few minutes, Jamal Murray has shown that he'll shoot for it without hesitation.

Locke has become so much better as a commentator, I used to not be able to listen to him, but now I can. If you have league pass and can't get the TNT/ESPN streams pick either the Left/Right Basket broadcast and in a new tab open up the radio stream. Works great, wish I had figured this out a long time ago.

It would be a fitting end to the Jazz season if they end up choking this series. O’Neale and Conley look like they are playing blindfolded. We’ve completely frozen Ingles out of the game so these guys and pump fake and drive into turnover after turnover. It’s like they are actively looking for the worst decision to make with the ball. Gobert has not been effective and the bench is the bench.

It's not that Denver made something unique. We just were not disciplined enough in previous games. And they punished us. Such a waste of great Donovan series

Mitchell needed some help, and didn't get it tonight.

I have no faith next game. Quin will sit on his hands and let Murray cook again. His players blew game 1 and game 6...so it’s not all on him, but we are in a major uphill battle because he will not adjust. Our defense is as toast as theirs is.

What is Quin supposed to do? He figured out a way part way through the series to take away Murray's best weapon in the regular season, the PnR with Jokic. Now he's just torching us no matter what. Joe can't be put on him, but I'm not sure who to stick to him when Royce isn't on the court.
