Donovan Mitchell trade

If you could trade Donovan Mitchell, who would you trade him for? Booker would be my likely choice.

Damn you GobertReport. My heart just skipped a beat. I thought we've traded Mitchell... :D

I am not sure who I'd trade him for... I'd have to think a bit about it. The list is not big though. Especially from the players that are reasonably available...

Hahaha sorry, all this Gobert trade talk makes me wonder who we could get for Mitchell and are you closer to competing if we do?

I wouldn't trade him for Booker. I might trade him for Harden.

Age is hard with Harden, maybe Beal and Hachimura?

Washington wouldn't include Rui, and I don't think there is a significant difference in play between Donovan and Beal. I think of players that might realistically be attainable with Donovan as the centerpiece, only Lillard and Harden interest me, and I think Harden is the only guy I'd pull the trigger on. Mitchell+Conley+23 for Harden. We'd be a championship contender with Harden + Gobert.

No thanks to Booker. Less D, less of a creator. Might be a better pure shooter and a bit taller, but I like Mitchell more. Plus, while I don't dislike Booker (I wanted the Jazz to draft him), I don't think he plays with the same passion & chip that DM does.

It's a short list of those I'd trade Mitchell for, especially considering his age (hence why I wouldn't take LBJ for him). I understand some of these guys are more valuable than Mitchell, but here's who I'd listen to offers for:

G.Antetokounmpo
L. Doncic
K. Leonard
A. Davis
D. Lillard
Steph Curry
K. Durant (after I see if he's ok post-injury)

There are others that are close, or a wash, but why trade for a wash, especially if they are older?
Tatum, Beal, Kemba, Butler, Jokic, George, Towns, Klay, Booker, Siakam, Gobert... oh wait, don't need to trade for him

No interest in Simmons, Embid or Kyrie. Westbrook get's honorable mention. Zion? Jury is still out. Also need to see another year of Morant before knowing where he lands.

Harden is the one I go back & forth on. He's SO GOOD at what he does, but he's got huge holes too. I don't know which list to put him on.

Call me a homer is you want, but I think his age, continued improvement, passion .... plus he says he likes playing for the Jazz, makes this guy nearly untouchable.

I think age is a huge factor here.

I like this list, but on the other hand would they trade their pieces for Mitchell?

G.Antetokounmpo
L. Doncic
K. Leonard
A. Davis
D. Lillard
Steph Curry
K. Durant (after I see if he's ok post-injury)

Looking on the Jazz point of view:
G.Antetokounmpo PROBABLY YES
L. Doncic HELL YES
K. Leonard NOT SURE
A. Davis PROBABLY
D. Lillard NOT SURE
Steph Curry PROBABLY (probably just because of his age)
K. Durant (after I see if he's ok post-injury) TBD

Looking on the other team point of view:
G.Antetokounmpo NO
L. Doncic HELL NO
K. Leonard YES
A. Davis MAY BE
D. Lillard I DON'T THINK SO
Steph Curry for a lot of things, I would say they say NO
K. Durant (after I see if he's ok post-injury) TBD

Beal alone would be enough :)
