Just for reference:

I think Tucker and Goss are gone, and replaced with the rookies, so I am accounting for that now.

1. Mike Conley $34,504,132
2. Rudy Gobert $26,525,281
3. Bojan Bogdanović $17,850,000
4. Joe Ingles $10,863,637
5. Royce O'Neale $8,035,714
6. Donovan Mitchell $5,195,501
7. Udoka Azubuike $1,977,000
8. Georges Niang $1,783,557 (ung)
9. Miye Oni $1,517,981 (ung)
10. Elijah Hughes $898,310
Total: $108,252,803 [not counting minimum roster charges]

Salary Cap: $109,140,000
Luxury Tax: $132,627,000
MLE: $9,258,000
BAE: $3,623,000

Let's say we bring back Brantley and Morgan
1. Mike Conley $34,504,132
2. Rudy Gobert $26,525,281
3. Bojan Bogdanović $17,850,000
4. Joe Ingles $10,863,637
5. Royce O'Neale $8,035,714
6. Donovan Mitchell $5,195,501
7. Udoka Azubuike $1,977,000
8. Georges Niang $1,783,557 (ung)
9. Miye Oni $1,517,981 (ung)
10. Jarrell Brantley $1,445,697
11. Juwan Morgan $1,445,697
12. Elijah Hughes $898,310
Total: $111,144,197

Luxury Tax: $132,627,000 - (minus)
Total Salaries: $111,144,197
Remaining under luxury tax: $21,482,803

The trades seem to have been to open up the full MLE and be able to retain Clarkson. We can do that now. We can haggle about how we feel about the picks (I don't love them) but the other moves are solid in the respect that we can easily replace Bradley/Davis with someone else with the MLE (say, Bobby Portis).

Another key number here is the tax apron at $138.928 million. If the Jazz are willing to be a tax team, they are hard capped at this number. My guess is that moves made were intended to keep the Jazz under the luxury tax threshold, however.

Wouldn't hate Portis at all. As it all sinks in, I think the Jazz are in a good spot for 2020-2021. Worst the roster looks is competing for 2nd round. I'll take it at this point after the bubble wash-out.

How did Niang survive the purge so far? (I actually like him for about 7 minutes a game).
