I kind of want us to sign Gary Payton II and give him a go. I like David Nwaba but don't think he's available.

This really tells me Joe should take a spot in the starting lineup. We need to get off the quicker starts. Falling ten plus behind and riding the bench for come backs each game isn't working. https://www.sportingnews.com/au/nba/news/joe-ingles-utah-jazz-forward-on-pace-to-make-nba-history-as-a-shooter/5qtz7pp00ic81kt96s85k1rzh

At the very least Snyder could pull Bogey at the same time he subs Gobert out...... Then bring them back together and Bogey can get more time against other teams' second units......

Agreed, Bojan definitely needs to play more against the second unit. This injury made a huge impact on his confidence.

Not sure this is the place? Does LBJ seams all about him staying in until he got his ten points then leaving? Selfish?

I'm sure that was just a coincidence....... Not......

It's always funny to have athletes talk about going to "war" and then they get an ankle sprain and they're out "indefinitely"......

Mad Max sure hates Utah and the fans. Not to sure why so much hate? I'm betting it's killing him that the Jazz has the best record in the league.

Given healthy rosters, I still feel like the Lakers are our worst potential WC playoff matchup, though every playoff team is going to be a serious threat. Glad to see that the Lakers didn't land Lowry, and I am glad the Lakers are likely going to have to start the playoffs on the road. Maybe someone else will knock them off.

Denver and Portland both got better at the trade deadline. Besides acquiring Powell, Portland has Nurkic coming back as early as tonight, where he is listed as tossup GTD. And Collins could come back the first of April.

We want the Lakers at the 6th seed.

Yeah, we want the seeding to look like this...

1 Jazz
2/3 Clippers/Suns
4/5 Nuggets/Blazers
6 Lakers
7 Mavs
8 Spurs or Grizzlies

If the bottom drops out for the Lakers, they could drop to 7, 8 or even 9 though. They're not going to win many games without Lebron.

Bojan's doing a bit better. Clarkson should come around.

And right on cue

Still feel they need that other wing to defend the LeBrons, Kawhis, and Gordons of the West. Maybe if bought out, James Johnson or Avery Bradley?

Yes, I am just hoping the Lakers lose enough games the rest of the way to drop to number six.

The Lakers have a big 4.5 cushion over the seventh seed and the dicey play-in tournament. It is very unlikely they will drop that far imo. They will bring back AD, then Lebron, before they fall that far in the standings. And if they sign Drummond in the next couple of days, their Lebron-less roster will improve. In three of the next five games, they've got games against tank teams Orlando and Toronto, plus a game against no defense Sacramento where anybody can win.

Though there are no hard timetables for player returns, Rotowire's best estimate is April 6th for AD and April 15th for Lebron.

They should. They might beat Orlando today, but after that, they'll lose 8 or 10 games straight.

Hope posting this doesn't jinx Conley for tonight's game at Memphis, where we need him to have a good game with Mitchell not playing, but it's a good 538 article about how effective Conley has been this season.

I watched some of the Nuggets/Clippers game last night where the Nuggets beat the Clippers in LA, 101-94. I am sorry that Denver was the team to acquire Aaron Gordon. Gordon makes Denver better defensively and his teammates are finding him on cuts to the rim on offense. Last night he filled up the stat sheet with 14 pts, 6 rebs, 6 asts, 3 stls, 2 blocks and just 1 tov. Coach Malone played Gordon a team leading 39 mins, notwithstanding both Millsap and JaMychal Green being available.

So now I've got Denver, along with the Lakers, as my top two playoff teams to avoid as long as possible. Here is what I'd like to see for regular season standings finish. This finish, which probably has as good a possibility as any, avoids a potential matchup with the Nuggets or Lakers until the WCF:

1. Jazz
2. Suns
3. Nuggets
4. Clippers
5. Blazers
6. Lakers
7. Mavs
8. Number two play-in winner.

Yeah Denver is that more dangerous. My only silver lining is Jokic gets passive and not go all monster MVP mode and his teammates loses the games for them

Return to Utah Jazz
