Game 14: Utah Jazz (9-4) vs New Orleans Pelicans (5-7)

I think this might be the first time the Jazz will play Williamson. Also, Ingles is still listed as 'out' in the injury report for the game.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

It will be interesting game to see how we can manage Zion and Adams in the same time. I'm curios about tomorrow. Hopefully, they can play with same passion, as in Denver game.

Have you seen Bojan decision making? First time he is with ball - out of bounds...

Game never really seemed in doubt, start to finish - always a good thing. When the Jazz are hitting their 3's a team like the Pels just cannot keep up, save maybe a career night from Ingram.

Still a few silly turnovers too many in stretches (looking at Bojan and Donovan here), but generally it seems like the offense is gelling well. Seems like even Clarkson is actually enjoying sharing the ball at times! Great to see Ingles back without skipping a beat btw. One point of concern: Gobert's free throw shooting, he needs to get back to his career % at least.

On a side note, Zion's combination of size, quickness and explosiveness is unreal. He's already pretty much unstoppable in the paint on that alone and I think it's just a matter of time (and luck with his health) before he expands his offensive game further, because the raw talent seems to be there. Having said that, he may have the worst defensive awareness I've seen in a player all season long. He seems constantly out of position, late for close-outs, making the wrong reads and only turning up his motor once in a while. As a coach I would feel under so much pressure to help him develop the right way, although of course it mostly depends on Zion's work ethic and willingness to listen (and possibly get his weight down a little bit).

Utah Jazz sitting at 2nd in the west with the longest current win streak in the league.

Not bad so far for a FO that some people think should be fired, eh? :)

Favors has been the silent MVP anchoring the bench defense. This is what the FO has been hoping for when he was signed.

Clarkson showing his versatility. His gunner mentality sometimes lead to teammates watching and standing but if they keep on moving he is actually an adequate passer. He was a PG with LA prior to drafting DLo. Excited he's becoming a solid triple threat.

And Niang expanding his repertoire. He had a couple of nice drives that he kicked out and travelled where he could've shot it. This will be good in the long term.

And Jingles as a stabilizing presence as point forward in the second unit rounds it all up. The depth is amazing. Bench 5 that can compete (probably add Oni here as SF) with any starting 5

Every year the jazz good through long stretches where they look great. Last year we had a stretch where we looked incredible. Unfortunately it was quickly followed by a stretch where looked awful. That was with almost every team we faced missing key players. Almost every team has those stretches where they look bad for a week or 2. We just need to make sure it is a week and not 2. That is the difference between home court advantage in a tough conference.
